Great video Mike and im sure Juan appreciates your generosity. Ritfit appears to be making great equipment at a budget friendly price and they also give you the opportunity to pay over time w Shop Pay, thats a win in my book.
Congrats on Your buddy starting the home gym! I did the same the when I got some of the cheaper all one equipment in I donate it to a friend, family, or school etc. It’s nice to see that Rit Fit upgraded the pulleys to aluminum pulleys. My three main criticisms on version one were aluminum pulleys would be better. They need better J cups and better longer spotter arms need to be longer. Hopefully they fixed all those things.
I think under $2K the Mikolo M4 and this RitFit M1 2.0 are probably the best options w/smith included since they both use 2" x 2" uprights with 1" holes so you can actually find a decent selection of attachments from many places that are compatible including even Rep with their PR-1000 series and Titan with the T-2 rack. But you should definitely check out the MAXUM Fitness SX2 next if you want a more premium option! Nothing else on the market quite like that one IMO and would love to see a review of it to know how it stacks up since there's basically zero coverage of it that I can find!
Great content thanks for covering this one! Any chance you could do a review on the Eonfit omni E5 power cage, it also has aluminum pulleys and at $999 on Amazon for a Smith machine and rack with pulleys it seems really nice. It has these really interesting arms that you can angle in many different ways which others don't have. This sector is getting very competitive and I'm happy to see it. 😃
I’m getting really tempted on grabbing one of these machines. Especially since I’ll be moving by the end of the year and have the additional space. Do you have a favorite for under 2K? I’ve been eyeing the major B52, this seems to be very similar.
They all start to feel really similar so in some way comes down to aesthetics, budget, and possible the ecosystem of accessories you're looking into. The b52 is not a bad choice, but aside them and Ritfit here, I'd check out Force USA's G3 (hybrid5 shameless plug saves 5% off). Ritfit needs some more accessories compared major fitness or Force USA, but some of theirs actually will work across brands.
Get the fringe sport Dane or the Bells of Steel All in one. The Dane is 2500 and the Bells is 1500, but will hit 2k with attachments. The build quality on those is going to be worlds better than Major Fitness's stuff.
@@balboa0621 Problem with the Dane or BOS All-in-One is neither has a smith machine included. Otherwise, great choices and definitely will be a step up in quality if you don't care about the smith aspect and are willing to spend a little bit more. Though IMO the smith opens up a lot of versatility to allow some more machine-like stabilized movements and a few things that aren't possible otherwise like vertical leg press, standing calf raises (elevated on platform for full deep stretch), and such so it's something I'd recommend most people get to maximize their exercise variety in a home gym with minimal additional space requirements. And, if you're lifting under 350lbs or so in the rack, even these entry-level 14-guage steel options are more than good enough and shouldn't really limit you in any practical way. Though if you have the funds and want something more heavy duty that still has a smith machine, you can always go for a MAXUM Fitness SX2 or Harbor Heavyweights HH80 v2 (also available at Vesta Fitness as their 3-in-1 Ultimate Rack).
Both are super versatile. I think depends on how you train and how much weight you'll require for certain lifts. You will be capped off on the speediance at 220, but as I've said in those videos, you can still still greatly fatigue your muscles by adjusting other variables.
I have two 4'x4' spots in the house. One of which I have filled with a full bodyweight/resistance band machine that I really like. The other one I want to try to find a compact all-in-one, preferably with weight stacksas opposed to independent weight plates. This is because I wouldn't have any place to store the plates indoors.
one of the smaller foot print ones is the Inspire 3...the one with the smith machince and leg attachments that u can do leg extension and curls.....not as sweet as this yet it is significantly smaller foot print...i've seen Inspires' in apartment building bedrooms...on U Tube....so yeah look into that....the above is great if U have the room!
Can you do smith machine “hack squats” on this with your feet out in front, leaning back? Do you think the guide rods would hold up to that without getting bent?
I had myself angled a bit out front on my squats for that purpose, but I can't say for sure without long term use on it. I'd defer to what I told someone else that if you're planning on squatting over 400s, I'd probably look elsewhere. But that might not be fair as they may be totally fine.
For me personally I'd much rather go with the Titan X3 and a Bells of Steel plate loaded cable tower. If you shop sales, you can get them for about $1000-$1100 with safety straps. You miss out on the Smith machine, but the X3 is extremely stable, and has westside hole spacing so you can get your safeties in the perfect position. Just my 2 cents. Great video as usual 👌.
More in the grand scheme of the things when you compare it to other racks of a similar set up. Also not mention in the video I wanted to point out that while you can spend well over 10k on a home gym, something like basically can do everything and is all one would need.
I'm not defending it but just saying given the build of the frame, not having really any weight on it, and doing smith squats you can expect a little shake on these all-in-ones. When I was force USA's HG I could literally hand shake all the units to cause them to rattle except the x15 or x20 which are just beefier frames with loaded down weight stacks. With that said, if you're benching over 300 or squatting over 400, I'd for sure go with something else.
@@hybridresistance I think the Bells of Steel All in One is maybe the better option. It's 2.3x2.3 but it's 12 gauge steel. I'm of the opinion that 3x3 and 11 gauge is complete overkill in virtually all home gyms, but I'm not sure I would go higher than 12 on any piece of equipment, and I'm only benching 240.
For what it’s worth I wish I didn’t place it in the corner where I did but had to so I can still have room for a car. 😅 The stall mats do a good job covering it up, but I have a good drop/crack right underneath one of the sides - tried to level it out - but I’m definitely going to use the concrete expansion bolts on the base- it does have anchor points for that.
Even with an 11ga smith machine you can get some instability because it’s a fixed motion with the bar attached to the machine. Bolt it to the ground and/or add a bunch of weight and it’ll be much better
Although not for me I do appreciate that people in the market have access to your quality reviews on gear like this. Good stuff as usual sir
Thank you!

Thanks for adding that. Great point about the "shop pay"

Awesome comment brother. It might be you, but I've been having a few people really talking out that Maxum.
Awesome machines!
Thanks Jay.

@@seriousblue6017 I will look into it, thank you for that suggestion
Seems like a great space saver and it has alot of a variety and it’s affordable which is awesome
The space saving is probably one of the biggest attributes these have going for them compared to a ERkang I reviewed earlier which was bigger overall.

Really wish I had room for one of these
Is this more effective in building muscle 💪 than your Speediance?

I'm told that PowerTec makes some very decent AIO trainers as well.

How is something that cost over a rack considered budget friendly??

Man, that whole unit was shaking when you were squatting 135 on the smith. That's a big "no" for me. The design is good, the materials look terrible.
