This one came in hot! No boring prologue or back story, just straight action! I guess I can watch this one!

Correct.horror does not mean loud noises and hideous masks only.
Some very effective horror movies have been made with simple screenplay.
Less dialogues means more effectiveness sometimes.

Well what do you expect it's a horror show not a fun show, besides in just about every horror movie I have watched there's undeniably been yelling and screaming 👍
Take a look at movies in the likes of the Hatchet Victor Crowley 1,2, and 3, Jack and Jill, and the Ouija house there's a lot of screaming and yelling going on in those films

2:56 the unknown trying to bust down the door to the basement while the guy is trying to board up the door, causes the guy to verbally react in great distress which is unarguably normal
I thought it was good and lots of tense moments.

Some of them could be cursed or even blessed who knows??
I found a 125 year old coin and a 100 year old book in my Aunts attic once!
1:19:58 so everything that happened in this movie down in the basement got to John's head which got him put in the institution, Sonya asked Phil how John was doing and Phil told her that John was still not well, and then not long after the doorbell rings as soon as Nick answers the door John stabs Nick up, then Sonya, Phil, and Randy run to the rescue, and they all head down into the basement except for John who is the psychopath, everything that played in John's mind (everything that happened in this movie) while he was down in the basement, is actually happening except John is the psychopath, mind you guys I had my suspicions about John earlier on in the movie after what Nick said to Phil, Sonya, and Randy just before Nick died, it turns out that Nick was right about John, John is the psychopath. Very interesting enjoyable horror movie, I recommend this horror movie to all horror fans to watch.

From 26:17 onwards not much yelling going on, except for the times where Phil gets antagonised with that psychopath upstairs outside the basement, I noticed that Phil is the only one who has been seriously pissed out of everyone else throughout most of the movie, while everyone else has been doing their best to keep everything cool, calm and collected especially in the appalling hostile life threatening situation they are all in, according to my view Phil is just trying to show the psychopath outside the basement, that he's the only one who is not afraid of them to help everyone else feel safe and secure in the basement, yip Phil is surely antagonised and pissed as anything but he definitely means well.

Well considering the whole movie set took place in the basement in a kitchen we know that didn't cost them any money... This was actually a pretty good movie

I would have drank the vodka cause that guy was NO WAY GONNA LIVE.
Not even a drop offered to any one else when that guy was drinking it from the bottle. Notice how after he was necking the Vodka alone he lost respect from the others as he suddenly started going just a lil haywire. Before he woke up. Or before the guy dreaming wok-up. A lot of vodka or any alcohol is not a good option during an emergency situation.

18:57 he should have known that Nick was internally bleeding from the inside earlier on hence Nick's death, besides he should know that doing CPR on anyone internally bleeding from the inside is a waste of time, therefore it's impossible to bring anyone back through CPR especially if they have passed prior to them internally bleeding from the inside, the blood will be engulfing their lungs causing them to drown in their own blood and their heart will stop prior to the blood engulfing the body organs, in saying all this Nick is a goner.
Great movie to watch. Without spoiling anything, about 1 hr into the movie there is a twist to the plot.

This went from bad to worse quickly.................
3:44 Sonya crying 😭 in distress with no yelling and screaming involved, and the guy trying to softly calm the situation, to be honest I have seen quite a few horror movies with alot of intensed screaming and yelling such as: The Hatchet 1,2, and 3, Ouija house, Hostel, Jack and Jill and the Clown Doll, as far as I am concerned about the basement I have only just started watching it, and it doesn't appear to be as intensed as the other horror movies I have just mentioned.
Excellent movie. Had my attention from beginning to end. Great actors, never saw that ending coming but I was happy to know everyone was alive then the unexpected happened. Wow, shocking! I can watch this movie several times with no problem and recommend it to friends to watch as well. Great job in the making of this movie.

2:20 these guys forced against their will by the unknown to barracade themselves in the basement, by locking themselves in there would obviously create the intensity level of distress they're going through, I mean think of it, the thought of being forced against your will to lock yourself up in the basement by some unknown life threatening force, would definitely cause you to jump out of your skin in the same level of distress as the people in the film
