    Just wanted to say a big thank you to you. Can’t remember just how it happened but I stumbled across your videos a while back and thanks to you, I’m now hooked on wild camping and spending a all my spare cash on camping gear. Also, after saying I could never justify the cost of a Hilleberg, I bought the Soulo yesterday. I must be mad.
    Really enjoy your videos. All very relaxing to watch. Think I’ve watched absolutely every one of them now.
    Keep up the good work and thanks again. Maybe meet you in the hills one day 😊

    I wild camped there with my boy 4 years back. Our first wild camp togethor. Started out as a lovely day, got camped up watched vids all night, fell asleep and woke up next morning completely clagged in. Unzipped the tent couldn't see a foot in front of us, really surreal and there was me thinking how the hell am I going to get back. My nav skills were in there infancy. Fortunately after an hour or two the clag lifted to reveal a beautiful blue sky, what a relief!
    Great vid as always Paul, could I just ask you the make and manufacturer of that small plastic table packaway table you use. Cheers Rob

    Good meal Paul. Reminds me of camping on Mam Tor in the winter of 1972. Bluto, was the son of the canteen manager at English Electric so we got an unlimited free supply of mash potatoes and dried string beans. We didn't have steak but tinned beef. With 3 primus's on the go, we had the meal prepared in minutes. Who needs butter on the mash, anyway.

    Hey Paul, if you want a comfortable sleeping mat I just brought the updated Thermarest Trail Pro self inflating pad as my old Sea to Summit blow up pad was giving me back ache every morning. It’s easily the most comfortable mat I’ve used as it’s stuffed with actual foam, and is still pretty light. The updated two way valve system works brilliantly and it has an R-value of 4.4. Best of all it is covered by a luxuriously soft stretch knit fabric. I got the extra wide one as I’m a side sleeper.

    Paul we have missed you! I was thinking about this for a while and maybe others will like this idea too. Maybe a behind the seen video. So you go wild camping with a mate and he can record you as you record yourself so we as the views see how much effort you put into your videos and how you get the camera angles. I feel like this would make all of us (your viewers) respect the time, effort, blood, sweat and tears you put in to your videos.

    Paul I recently picked up a sea to summit ether light xt insulated sleeping pad and I have to say that it's absolutely superb. Supremely comfortable and keeps you from rolling off at night with the air sprung cells rather than 'air tube' design of most pads. Also love the pillow lock design they have with the sea to summit aeros pillows. Good r value and very lightweight too but it's the comfort that really sells it for me. Thought you should maybe check it out as it may even dethrone the trekology. All the best, Oli.

    • @PaulMessner
      @PaulMessner  4 года назад +1

      It was windy but I don't mind the weather. It's the filming that's harder to do. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

    Hilleberg say no standing on tent pegs you bad boy! Good decision to drop out of the wind a bit, still a great view.

    Great Video. We were up there too. Camped in the woods by the River Kinder. Hell of a windy night. Unfortunately only had bivvy and tarp. First time wild camping. We could have done with one of them fancy hillabergs.

    Lovely video Paul. Loved the morning light while looking round the camp and down the valley and the speeded up clouds. Great job.
