Been looking at this product for a couple of days now and I was wondering about its articulation. You've covered that wonderfully and I'm going to go pick one up in the morning. Thank you

Do you know if the main L bracket will go in the opposite direction like ⅃ (I want to be able switch directions) while attached. Can you take off the clamp and attach it to a normal thread mic stand?

      Oliver,
      Thank you for the questions!
I made a quick video showing the range of motion for the articulation point near the hinge. It will premier tomorrow, but here is the link for a sneak preview:

Yes, the mic holder will clamp onto the top of a threaded mic stand (I've used it like this many times). I did not have the mic holder head with me, or I would have demonstrated that as well.
      I hope this helps!

Thanks for the review. Question: Can you extend it in 180 degrees? I'm looking for a desk mic stand that can also be used while standing besides the desk

Yes, it will open all the way to 180 degrees. The articulation at the clamp is super useful if you're using it this way because it allows you to maneuver the boom back and forth. Obviously you're limited in height to the length of the tubes (as opposed to telescoping stands) but if you needed more flexibility you could combine multiple boom stands and mix and match, since it's all modular.
