      I wonder if you didn’t put it in boiling water and just wet and dried it if it would still be the same results?

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  3 года назад +4

      Probably not. You really need the heat to form the hair to the pattern. It may dry with a slight curl in it but I don’t think it will hold up. Try it out and let me know I would love to see how it works!!

      Hey Jesse, I ordered my “Jess” wig. Thank you for the ten percent off code. I haven’t received it yet but it’s been shipped!!!!! My question is how do you deal with all the fly away hairs. I have 3 wigs that I paid $1600 for. They are great wigs but the fly away hairs drive me crazy. In a less expensive wig I’m sure there are a lot of these fly away hairs. How do you take care of them?
      Thank you for your wonderful videos!!!! 💖

      Hi Jesse, I got my “Jess” wig today! Thanks to you. I loved the video. I wish I was able to share a photo of me in it. The fly away hairs are so minimal!!! My $650 and $450 wigs have much more flyaways. I’m really impressed with this wig!!! Thank you for everything !!!

    The curl formers you used are directional. The pink is suppose to go on one side and the orange is suppose to go on the other. Can’t remember which color went on the right and the other on the left. It helps for the curls to go away from the face. Maybe that will help next time.

    I am new to wigs.
    Won’t boiling water damage the synthetic wig? I was warned not to use high heat on synthetic wigs.
    I know some low heat can be used. So I am guessing boiling water is 212 degrees Fahrenheit and should not damage the wig. Right?
    Did I answer my own question?
    I once fried a wig I was wearing when I opened the oven to remove the cooked food.
    🤦🏼‍♀️

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  Год назад +1

      Yes and I pull it off the heat so I don’t keep it actively boiling.

    Brilliant Jesse. I do have a question. I love some of the blonde synthetics that you can get on Amazon, but many the roots are just too dark for me to pull off. Have you come up with a way to break up that darkness with highlights? I've often thought about chalking with something that would stay and not flake...if I love the fit enough and the blonde color enough I usually just headband or slouchy cap it.

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  3 года назад +1

      I have a video on how I highlight a synthetic wig actually! It works really well and helps break that root up for sure.

    This may seem like a dumb question but, how does the hot water not ruin the wig? I thot they had to be washed in cool water only

    • @JesseMSimons
      @JesseMSimons  Год назад +2

      You would want to do this on a heat safe synthetic wig and your wanting the water to come to a boil and then cool with the wig. Used correctly heat can be amazing for synthetic wigs. 😊

      They are pretty decent. Heat safe and I love them. There are tons of different quality wigs out there at all price points for everyone. I live having variety so I go for the middle priced synthetics that I can still alter and play with. 😊
