You found a way to overcome it, good for you, but there are others who are not in the same position as you. All brains are wired differently and all humans are unique in their thought processes and in their perception of the world around them.

Your brain can either be your best friend or your worst enemy. for some people it takes time for them to overcome their demons, for others, they remain imprisoned in themselves which as we know can lead to more serious matters.
Depression is a mental illness and it is important that we let these people know that they are not alone, and that there are people who care.

To everyone watching this video, please don't lose hope. Life can and will get better. Last year, I was at the absolute worst period of my depression and anxiety, which I had for over 10 years. Rather than accept that I would always be a broken man or worse, I did everything I could to break the cycle. I undertook therapy and committed myself to it (I previously stopped myself from going to therapy), I severely limited all forms of social media (except RUclips and occasionally Instagram), I watched all kinds of videos to educate myself further (Jordan Peterson motivated me so much), I got into a regular fitness regime at home, I distanced myself from toxic friends and I reconnected with close friends. I also got into a career that I've long wanted to get into. One year later and I not only remember what life was like before depression but now I am living my best life after depression.
Even when I am struggling, I know now what to do before it spirals out of control and that is to seek help.
Not so easy to seek help if nobody in your close relations is there to support you. My parents kept saying that the thing with mental illnesses is just people wanting attraction from others

I heard this song when I was a freshman and didn’t realize the meaning until now. Trying to please everyone, always being considerate of their feelings, making sure they’re ok, breaking your back to show the people you care about that they are loved. Being scared that they will abandon you so you are always aware of how you act even sometimes ignoring your own feelings to maintain the peace. I had to learn the hard way that not everyone will love me the way I love them.

Have you guys realised that gaming doesn’t hit the same anymore? Like we used to game for the sole purpose of fun and now.... now we game as an escape..... an escape from our reality, and then you realise that nothing has changed, so you finish and you just repeat. 😔 I wouldn’t say Im depressed because I know that it’s a lot worse to what I’m feeling but it’s been pretty bad lately. 😞

I feel like this, and I also feel a huge sense of guilt about gaming. I know games are also a legitimate form of art, entertainment and storytelling, but I also feel I've spent too many hours doing stupid gaming, like replaying the same games, leveling up my characters to the max level for no purpose (except for a short term accomplishment feeling that quickly ends due to the meaningless of it), collecting all Pokémon, playing FIFA... All this feels so dull when I think about how many movies I could have watched, how many books I could have read, how much more I could have studied, how much more I could have been helpful or useful to other people...

I think the biggest thing that has helped me with depression is having a purpose a reason for living even if it's something small like building a youtube channel and also knowing that God made me with a purpose and I am not an accident, Keep pushing its not easy but its worth it..

@Hayden Maslar People do it all the time, they'll get 1 bad grade or something insignificant will happen and they'll justsay they're depressed and by tomorrow they've forgotten everything that affected them "so badly" and it makes people who have it look weak or attention seeking but they'll never understand how it really feels

If you need help go talk to your friends, family and people you trust, life can be great so do not waste it, and also do not worry everything is gonna be better after the pandemic ends so just wait, keep going foward because life is full of good experiences and memories that are gonna make you think it was all worth it, a lot of people that tried to end their lives remember that they changed their mind and are glad to be alive, if necessary search for help in the internet if you can afford a therapist too because i worry about you "ending your life is a permanent solution to a temporary problem" almost everyone have a dark chapter in life you can pass through it by the way do not be shy to call for help...

I used to watch this late at night and be unable to fall asleep and be so depressed i couldn't feel anything except numbness. Now I watch this much much happier and still here. Happy I pulled through and waited. It hasn't been easy. lots of ups and downs but i'm still here and i'm happy right now. So keep fighting!

Don’t know if I’m depressed or not but I have these really good weeks or days sometimes months that feels right.. I mean I live fully, I feel ambitious and powerful but.. then a demon conquer my mind for days, weeks and fucking months and I feel bad just I have lost the ability of being happy.
