After a long day of bothering Lucia, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse kick back and talk about the old days.
Thanks for watching and waiting, everyone! We are hard at work making new episodes, and this one in particular, the finale for the planned season one, has been in the works for a long time (since 2020!) Lots of stuff has happened since then, but thank you for sticking around and enjoying what we make, even if there's a wait sometimes. I'm very excited to show everyone more of what's in store for this episode. Good things are coming!

Horses are VERY hard to animate.
I seriously don't know whether to cry or laugh whenever I see an anime and the horses are the stiffest most rigid four-legged creatures ever.

I like how Tomar is voicing the Horseman Of Death here. It's a subtle allegory he's using to laugh in the faces of all his hundred of victims.

Hazbin Hotel comes out this summer, we got the Lackadaisy pilot a few weeks ago, and now a we have a Satina season 1 sneak peek!!
Indie animation is officially thriving. I’m so excited for all of these projects coming out.
With how most big name studios keep dropping the ball lately, the 2020s seems to be the Indie Animation Golden Age. Hopefully this keeps up and doesn't disappear as soon as it arrived

I like to think that no one knows satina actually exists, and the finale is the horsemen finding out, and Dave helps death out by giving him the magical advice that allowed him to tap Luci.

I have a feeling that Death will try to kill Dave when he finds out that Lucia had a kid with him, but will fail because of Satina's presence around Dave or some other shenanigans. Death still has the hots for Lucia, so I believe he's going to be somewhat jealous of Dave.
Lucia's sister, Azalea is the biggest threat. She lusts after Dave when she finds out, doing it all so she can one-up her sister and rub it in her face she triumphed where Lucia failed.

The small detail of the demon from the painting 'The Devil Presenting Saint Augustine with the Book of Vices' has a face on his butt just like the demon at 1:28. Made me happy to see it referenced from such an old painting from 1483.
I love how you depicted the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. I really want to see what their mounts look like
I absolutely love how the underworld looks in this. It's so detailed and gruesome and yet so fun to look at, every angle reminds me of a Spongebob gross-up shot. Amazing work so far, looking forward to seeing them wreak havoc in the new season!

Well, there's been different conceptions of Hell, there's the second century's _Apocalypse of Peter,_ detailing how one specific set of sinners shall see themselves left hanging from their tongues attached to hooks, Dante's _Inferno,_ John Milton's _Paradise Lost._

Yo the background artist(s) did an insane job like holy smokes I want every single one of them hung up in my house. The voice acting and simple but effective character design are on point as well. Even for the background demons and characters we recognize such as the mummy, plague doctor, the mummy have a unique look to them. And the animation, dont get me started as it seems so fun and energietic with every second of frames. I'm not even done watching and this is phenomenal. Good luck to u and ur team, keep up the good work, and take ur time.
in terms of the characters, what stuck out to me are that a number of the demons seem to be inspired by the real wacky Medieval manuscript monsters. Fantastic point of inspiration that i haven't seen done before all that often, if at all.
Grotesquely beautiful and awesome on the creativity for characters and ESPECIALLY the skill on the backgrounds and environments.
I can't get over how incredibly detailed this is! I want to pause every few seconds just to try and see everything, there's so much! Incredible! Makes me think of Super Jail, the mind cluster of art thrown at you all at once. Bravo to the creators and I'm really looking forward to this!
As a background and layout enthusiast, I can´t give enough congrats to the people behind them.

I loved the pilot that was made sometime ago and I thank you for having Satina existed because I couldn't find anything good to watch before Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss came in till I found your channel and I can't wait to see what the series got in store for us all of us..and I find it embarrassing that RUclips got content creators like you and Vivziepop who got more ambitious power to make shows than a corporation that manufacture them

Man inde animation just keeps getting better and better.
With the gaming industry, the music industry, the movie industry, and this industry, it’s all going the same direction: big corps are afraid to try anything new, it’s reboot after reboot. Save for a few shows (Kipo, Gravity Falls, Amphibia, Craig of the Creek), if something original comes out and doesn’t instantly do numbers in the 9 digits, it’s canceled-if it’s not canceled, and is successful, you have to hope it maintains its quality (luckily, Adventure Time and Regular Show did so).
As a result, the actually creative people who carry the industry and have a genuine passion and desire to make things are collectively going “fuck it” and doing it on their own.
This is exactly why I’m gonna push my semi-animated storyboards through RUclips and maybe just keep them there whenever I finally start making them. There, no one can cancel my show but me. And if I cancel it, I get to start it again whenever I want to. Because I fully own the property I’m making.
I expected this to happen to animation when I saw Infinity Train get canceled. Yeah, good shows have been canceled before, but the way HBOMax canceled their shows set a breaking point in my opinion, to the point where there’s zero reason to trust the big industry-they’ll throw your show in the pit and not even allow you to continue it on your own platform because now they own the name.
Capitalism is killing art and it’s up to the little people to organize and combine their efforts and -take over the system- push out art themselves. And the less people trust the big industry, the more numbers there are to help out with these smaller productions and get this independent work off the ground, with episodes being pushed out at a slower pace but much less room for abuse.
The Writers’ Strike also isn’t helping the big industry either.
(Speaking of the Writers’ Strike, execs have openly stated that they’re waiting for those striking to literally run out of money to pay their bills before they negotiate, pretty obviously planning on giving an absolute shit negotiation. Lots of actors are siding with the writers. My theory is that if the execs keep holding out, there will be a mass exodus of writers and actors who are long fed up with the industry-money can always be made somewhere else, even if it turns out to not writing. While a tough decision, I think working for someone else would be preferable to working for someone who’s openly confessed they would rather let you starve than agree to exploit you and your labor a bit less. From Kelloggs to Railroad workers to this, this has certainly been one of the most interesting strikes to follow.)

I must say I love how the artstyle is still enjoyable for kids with it not being overtly violent or sexual, it's amazing work from everyone involved
No wonder this is taking so long, the sheer amount of detail and characters in the background alone, idk how artists/animators are able to put so much effort into stuff like this.

I thought we never see Satina again until Hannah comes back for another episode after 2 years with more detailed animation. It's nice to have her back, so does Lucia's oatmeal.
i am burning to see how actually lucia and dave met and where their weird relationship goes, because if some comedy is there the episodes is gonna be good
I love how there are four guys in change of death:
The plague doctor for disease (he was busy in 2020)
The buff guy for war and fighting
The mummy for famine
And original death for natural causes or something.

Hazbin and Helluva Boss are the only media in existence that did musical numbers in them that didn't make me cringe because they either made sense by being on a stage, being inside a drug trip, or something else instead of randomly just breaking into song in public in front of a shit ton of strangers for no reason.
Minus the first musical in the first half of Hazbin's pilot, that one was the only one that I didn't like cause it did the exact thing I don't like about most musicals, that being in public in front of a bunch of strangers.
@@TheDaxter11 frankly i think any animation becomes much less fun when you throw in a musical, i had the same thought for lackadaisy which made me unsure about watching it in the first place, glad i was wrong about it, these cats are nuts, especially Calvin(Freckles's real name in the comics)
I'm not saying I like musicals, I couldn't really care less and a musical isn't something I go out of my way to watch. Just that usually whenever an episode of something _does_ decide to have a musical bit in it its always awkward as shit because its just done out in public in front of strangers.
Every single one of Helluva Boss's musicals happens in a scenario and way that makes sense and isn't awkward, and somehow the second one in Hazbin doesn't really bother me and is actually a bop. It helps with Helluva that I find pretty much every musical section to actually be good as well I've had them on in the background while gaming before. As for Lackadaisy I should probably watch that.

I can tell that y'all drew some pretty heavy inspiration from The Misadventures of Flapjack and some of Brian Miller's other works, especially for your backgrounds and non-character set pieces (the bar was especially well done). I love that pastel-horror aesthetic, and y'all do it wonderfully! Looking forward to more!

I remember when it was impossible for animators to make a living while animating because of the youtube watch time shit and recently uploading videos weekly. But now more and more animators are getting support from the community that love them.

I have never seen a more grotesque and elaborate design for hell and I love it. It's like Scorn level of intricate.

0:22, Dear Lord! (Or Dear Satan?) There's some really Creative Demons Designs in there! I loved that Multiple Faces Demon with the Shovel. And that Hell City Scenario is soo Dark and Topsy Turvy that make the Cool World Movie Backgrounds Jealous! I Love It! I bet it was really Hard to make such Creative Demons e Scenarios.

The intricate backgrounds with the more vibrant characters really remind you of old timey 2d animation, it's an amazing look!

This feels like watching old school cartoons. Back in the days where cartoons were awesome and detailed and had a story.
This truly looks and feels like Hell. The backgrounds and the designs of the demons aren't like vivziepops and I love it. It reminds me of the old depictions of Hell! It looks grimey and disgusting and I mean that in the best way possible
they say idle hands are the devil's playthings, but that takes new meaning for these chucklenuts.
