I'm actually from the very village Tebogo is From, Kanye (the original Kanye lol) in Botswana. It's such a treat to watch Tebogo humble all the haters. I like to think about the people he made proud more than the haters he proved wrong. Tebogo's mother passed on from cancer just before these Olympics and I was so afraid it would mess up his psyche but he pulled through. I know he made his mother super proud. The whole nation and continent is proud of you. Rea go rata School-Boy, through thick and thin.

When Tebogo lost the 100m we didn't bring up the fact that he is young and that this is first time at the Olympics, or that his counterparts have far better resources and coaches than him, or that he just lost his mother to cancer. When Lyles couldn't beat Tebogo's time in the semi finals they said he has saving up his energy. When he lost the 200m they said it's because he has Covid-19. The funniest thing is that he just got tested and he posted that he didn't have covid and was literally partying a few days after the race. I don't know if it's because he lied about having covid or maybe he made the quickest recovery in the history of mankind. At what point do you accept defeat and give credit to Tebogo?

Kenny and lyles were definitely done after the 100m anyone who knows track, know the 100 takes a lot out of you. Not everyone bounces back so quickly. Some do some don't, it just wasnt thier day. But if anyone knows track knows those times from either of those racers are among the worse times they have done since 2022. Its obvious they were effected. But congrats to letsile cuz its been a long time coming

Tebogo is a great runner. So glad for him. Lyles wasn’t given the 100m though. Review the photo finish, but before you do that research the rules that govern the photo finish. Mr Lyles does need a dose of humility, being diagnosed with COVID 2 days ago could be what does it for him. But he walked away with a bronze medal, that has to say a lot about his determination.
