May I suggest a dedicated geo tank and give them a sand bottom? I had one once and watching their more natural behavior was a lot of fun and gratifying too.
what size tanks do you just run sponge filters in alone? i got 4 75 gl Going up and i was wondering if to run sponge filters in them bare bottom or i need a filter or does it all depend on what's house in them.
You'll know if you have a female salvini by the black blotch on the top dorsal and gill plates. The red on the bellies will eventually pop in. Males won't have the dorsal or gill plate blotch. My female colored up at 2.5-3 inches.
