A voice that cannot ever be duplicated. Her versatility is awesome. I must say she is my favorite female vocalist. She made each song her own with that smooth, silky, velvet voice.

It's all a little too retro-jazzy for my taste, but that familiar voice shines. I'm sure The Beatles must've been honored as they adored her. Nice job on "And I Love Him" in particular. Her greatest track on 20th Century Fox was "Ain't It the Truth" in my opinion.
I agree. As usual, Mary's voice sounds great - it's the Broadway - Tijuana Brass big band music behind her that dominated the album she did with Marvin Gaye that I have a problem with. Many of the standard-based Motown albums from this time suffered from this same over or inappropriate production (musically)! What would be nice is if someone would remix this album with different orchestration behind her. Best cuts are : "Yesterday", "Can't Buy Me Love", "Help", "I Saw Her Standing There" and "Do You Want To Know A Secret" but, again, change the orchestration and you've got a great album!
I love this album. I had recently discovered via someone's blog. I think it's an amazing tribute to the Beatles and I think I enjoy the way she sings these songs better than the originals. I don't know, Mary Wells' voice is just that sweet sounding kind of voice that can sing any song well.

Oh my gosh. When you have a good singer and you have a sophisticated arrangement with multiple instruments, it just shows these Beatles songs are simple and one-dimensional. Really awful…
Been looking for retro jazz
Thank you very much for sharing

Adds a nice jazzy taste to these classics. I like it. :)
Is there anything she couldn’t sing and give it her own flavor 🙌🏾

I just love Mary's voice . . . it is so wholesome and sexy! So sad that she has been gone for so long, but her recordings live on.

Sorry, can't agree. The arrangements expand Mary's range -- clearly.
