Looked like she was really not trying to pike the catch on the Jaeger. She seemed surprised she missed and was mad which made her lose focus and fall on something she never misses. Her form looks great though!
You need constant repetitions to feel confident to do it even when nervous. She could do the skill. She did a perfect one in warmup only moments before. She put too much pressure on the moment and just didn't have the training time to cancel that out. 5 weeks is not a lot of time to build confidence. "Trust your training" is a saying for a reason.
The difference is Nastia decided to only take that much time based on when she decided to come back. Suni Lee's chronic health issues with her kidneys kept her from training regularly
You can't really compare them. Nastia intentionally waited until the last minute to get back into comp and didn't get in enough hours. Suni has been battling a chronic kidney illness and still tried to practice when she could. Considering what she's been through, it's amazing she was even able to train a new skill at all. She can do her routine--just needs a more time to regain confidence
@@Ajay.Plants Suni is in remission according to her own self. stop MAKING EXCUSES. She was hitting it in training and podium training consistently. This was nerves

Do not worry Suni- you will get what you want. Just a bit more salt and pepper and it is going to be delicious. 👏👍🌺
She's really only had ... days of training. That is the same excuse they used for Nastia in 2012.
