I don't get why people think it's a minor upgrade? New sensor going from 26-40 mp. IBIS which works in video. Open gate 6k recording. These are great significant upgrades.
I think photographers had really high expectations on what they specifically wanted this camera to be. I’m overall happy with the improvements they made but I understand the frustration.
Gonna be interesting to see, how fast Panasonic users grow, being that they're about to push "simulations" / real time LUTS heavy ! Feel like ease of use, quickness of having your images dialed in, in camera...and being able to send em to mobile / post, is growing more and more these days. Before anybody comes for me, I shoot Fuji + Lumix lol. Love Canon, still got a 5D laying around lol.
If you have the itch for an x100VI for photos, consider the X-E2 with a Voigtländer 27 mm Ultron. You will save a lot of money and probably have more fun.
It depends on (1) How big you want to print and (2) if the X-E2 covers your bases in the film simulation category. I feel zero need to have a 100VI. I do, however, want the Voigtlander 18 mm color Skopar as well now. There's something the 100VI cannot do...
Fuji active positives: 1) lenses are way cheaper and outstanding quality. 2) Physical user interface and the customization. 3) I was a raw guy but shoot raw and jpg now with custom film sims setup the way I post process. I'm actually ok to send out jpgs out of the camera without PP. The only thing it lacks is in cam color grading. 4) the output quality and the user interface make it a joy to use. Passive positive: Looks are not a factor but I'm glad it looks great; it does inspire. However, I'm the photographer, not the model, so I don't buy a camera as a poser. What a shallow reason to buy it. Who lets influencers and commenters peer pressure them? Jeeze. The need to fit-in strips individuality. I digress. I would add the X100 to my gear for its portability, but it's not much smaller than an XT5. No way is that minor size convenience and lack of lenses worth the cost of my XT5 body. The X100 is a < $600 camera. It is smarter to get the XT5 and a lens at that point. Plus, posers would be +3 points over their competition to flaunt the XT5 😂 don't cheap out on your image it says you're lesser. 😆 I'm glad Fuji sells so many over priced X100s tho... they get more money to improve their auto focus, which is a real negative to cover action based photography for many.
We see all the cool reviews. We now know for sure it is a great camera :) Same for the X100V, but neither of these cameras are available. How can a brand like Fujifilm not produce these? And if they do it on purpose, I am sure they are losing some customers.
@@luischavezphoto does it keep up if he is running towards you and you just pick up the camera and shoot? without preparing the shot way before for me it doesn't specially indoors all my picture come blurry

I have x-h1…should I go for xe-2 instead vi

@@inquisitvem6723 get an X-E2. It’s a small hit on resolution but there’s a chance you’ll actually like the colors more than your X-H1.

Hi, which thumb grip do you use and is it a good fit for the x100VI? I’ve seen some but they’re for the V and don’t fit great for the VI.
I use the Haoge THB-X2S Metal Hot Shoe Thumb Up Rest Hand Grip. I just added links to the description as well. Thanks for watching!
Great video, dude!
Thanks Jason!
Eyyyy I made it on a Luis Chavez video!
That hybrid viewfinder is badass.
It was a lot of fun to tag along to your shoot man!

I have no idea what that looks like on the production side but stocking is def an issue
The playground is elite!
The only place I’m filming my talking heads 🤝🏽
Pizza Planet sling bag > X100VI
Hahahhahahaa you did what I did, have q2 and still buys x100vi…congrats!
I still love my Q2 but this is my family everyday camera haha the Leica still comes with me on solo outings or on date nights with my wife!
I will wait till the Sony rx1r iii comes out
Sadly the autofocus is so bad that it becomes unreliable to use fujfilm cameras
I have to admit, it’s not amazing but definitely enough to keep up with my son which is mainly what I’m using it for.

@mdenjoyer831 yeah I just turn on focus tracking which I programmed to one of the buttons.
less reliable compared to other systems specially sony but i found if you use zone autofocus it's a bit quicker.

I can always count on you. 🫰

I understand what you’re saying about the batter but putting a bigger battery in this camera would really change the form factor
