    This liquid adhesive works not that way.
    You should apply it to the frame, then wait for 5-10 minutes for it to dry and after that press the display into it. When the frame and display are collapsed, you should compress it using some rubber bands or clippers and wait for 3-12 hours.
    In Russian repair services we're using this glue all the time. If you follow the instructions, glue works perfectly, just like factory adhesive)

      While drying applied without display attached this glue becomes like a sticky tape.

    Hey Jeffrey, I used the e8000 recently. I found out that for it to stick properly, you have to keep pressure on the display for 24-48 hours. I recommend to flip the phone on its screen, keep it on a flat surface and put something heavy on it for a day or two. Works like a charm!

    5:35 for glue T-7000, B-7000, E-7000 hold the display correctly you have to apply it on both sides, display and case, wait around 3 minutes for the glue to dry a little and then join the display with the frame, only like this glue secures the display, glue on one side and immediately gluing the display the glue is still liquid and does not work properly.

  • @taylor4853
    @taylor4853 3 года назад +1

    You have to wait for the dissolvant present in the glue to evaporate before trying to glue the display in place, 5 minutes should be enough
    Shoving the screen as soon as the glue is applied prevents it from curing properly and the display or any other thing you're gluing will come loose
    Also you should apply it on the phone body and screen so it sticks even stronger

    So, here we use E8000 and F7000, you need to use rubber bands and apply pressure for 2 days, it keeps everything watertight and its fairly easy to open if you messed up something or something goes wrong

  • @liveroy
    @liveroy 3 года назад

    The E7000 and B7000 are actually rather old glue groups. TipTop is the most well known glue of this group.
    What you need to know about them is that these need at least 12hrs to set and 24 to 48 for complete cure.
    These are acetone-base, so not that toxic actually.

    Let me give you an advice, if you apply the E8000 or B7000 kind of glues, just wait for 5-10 minutes to allow the material become more sticky. Its use is like that. Just wait for 5-10 and than put the screen on it. It will be more efficient, you'll see.

    Instead of heavy box, next time purchase and use clamps or use tape around it? In my previous job we used small clamps with light clamp pressure. We use usually 6-8 clamps per phone while adhesive is drying. Clamping-time is around 2-4 hours per phone to be firm enough to be given back to the customer.

These bins that can be accessed by random employees should not be allowed. The company most definitely needs to keep better tabs on the boxes. I have this exact phone and really like it.

    Hey... Good video as usual 👍 but today i also did the same thing. ... Replaced xiaomi redmi note 4 display , applied same E8000 glue at sides and that aceylic tape top and bottom, but like u even i had to open the phone again because the acrylic tape was not strong enough and as i was using the phone the screen was separating from top due to the heat...
    So i ooened again cleaned glue with isopropanol and wd40 then applied E8000 all over this time no tape and now its perfect 😀

    I dont know if someone else has mentioned this, but I will. The reason why so many phones are dumped with minimal issues is that those phone kiosks that you see out the front of supermarkets charge a despicable amount to fix them. That phone would have been $300+ to have the screen replaced. For some people, it's not worth it. I have an S8 here that I smashed the screen on 2 years ago, and I have been quoted $350 to replace the screen. I can buy a replacement S8 for less. So I am just holding on until this one dies.
    Until phones can be repaired for a realistic price, people will just keep dumping them like this. I have noticed more people offering to buy old broken phones, so I guess there's heaps of people around like you that buy them, fix them, sell them. Which is good.

  • @DX-wq3wl
    @DX-wq3wl 3 года назад

    Very nice, but in the future it will be better to use only glue, without sticky tape. Tape is a bit thicker so it will make easier for dust to get inside. Thicker tape will make it a harder to correctly position display or remove it. With the glue, you have more space to set a display correctly. And also use heavy stuff to get glue harder. Usually those types of glues should be hard after 24 hours.

    Hello, I just want to advice you that the B7000 or E8000 has a 12hrs to 2 days curing time. You need to use some type of lcd clamps for the display panel so it won't have any gaps while the liquid adhesive cures.
