    The issue with the sun visor is not new. I’ve had an A3 Sportback and an A5 Sportback and they both had that gap between the rear view black out and the visor. Sunglasses don’t always help with the Aussie sun. Cheers

    Lovely, informative and clear review. Thank you for that (and for resisting the temptation to make it overly funny/ weirdly edited/ with unnecessary music).

    Great video. One thing though, the sun visor issue can be avoided by raising the seat height or no?

    Nice one! Transition from external review - rear seats - front cab is seamless. The edges have now all been polished Mark so well done 👍🏽
    Never found a place in my heart for the A4 & especially in SE spec. I can only have Audi in S-Line now as everything else seems incomplete (1st world problems). I also can’t seem to tolerate a non flat bottom steering wheel. I’m getting way to picky in my old age 🤣
    I think you’re also right about the tablet media screen - it will be love / hate and my A6 has / had the built in touchscreen unit which is a fantastic system so disappointed to see these pop up type screens.
    It’s perfect for the executive rep covering miles of motorway with relative frugality so I’m sure it will do the numbers.
    Anyway great review as always. Looking forward to seeing more over the course of the year mate 👌🏼

      I do like the A6! I think this A4 is one of the best looking ones they’ve done but totally will always look better in S-Line with all the bits you mention.
      I’ve sent a cheeky little request for the RS5 so fingers crossed 😂

      I wonder if the spec is different in England. I have the 2020 face lift A4 Avant in entry level Technik spec and it has digital drivers display which the car in this video doesn't have.
      I could have gone for an S-Line but despite having some extra gadgets, they were not really necessary. Also, I prefer the understated looks of the Technik over the flashy S-Line.
      Best part though is the normal suspension setup. I have no interest in a sporty drive and wanted comfort which the 17" wheels alongside the suspension deliver in spades.
      Different strokes for different folks.

      @@thedoctor007dfw Specifications can differ greatly due to our wonderful taxation system here in Ireland 🙄 The more we add, the more we pay on top of already financially punitive retail prices.

    Nice car but I think that big screen is a really ugly feature and the omission of the rotary wheel is a pity. I had a 2016 A4 B9 which I had fully intended changing for a 2020 model - until I saw the facelift with it's big screen and no wheel.
    I eventually bought a 2020 VW Passat R-line which has the info screen built into the dash like the Audi A6, and it looks so much better. By the way, the facelift Passat has narrowed the gap in styling quite a bit between Audi and VW.

    Would you say the NVH inside is MUCH better than a passat/superb?

    • @NobbyOnCars
      @NobbyOnCars  4 года назад +2

      I’d say there’s a bit more padding in the Audi but without a decibel measurement it could be an auld placebo effect when you know you’ve an Audi badge versus a Skoda. To be “much” better I’d say it you need to be in an A8, S-Class, 7 etc

      Nobby On Cars Thanks. There are plenty of phone apps 😁 I like the idea of a premium brand but I do 20k miles a year and tend to keep my cars a long time so don’t really want premium service and repair costs.

    this A4 doesn't stand a chance vs the BMW 3 series.....boring.

    • @NobbyOnCars

      I'd imagine like any Audi or BMW, you'll get people who are brand loyal and would never venture across. I'd like to see it in S-Line trim with a powerful petrol engine to compare but I did love the 330i I had for test.

    • @thedoctor007dfw

      That's down to opinion and personal preference. I test drove the BMW 3 series and to use your terminology, it stood no chance against the A4.
      Far superior interior on the A4 and looked more classy for me. I'm not remotely interested in a sporty feel, so I didn't go for the S-Line model. The Technik spec with much more compliant suspension was best for me.

      @@thedoctor007dfw Did u drive the G20 3 series?? I test drove both and the 3 series felt chunkier and heavier.
      Still went with the A4

    • @thedoctor007dfw
      @thedoctor007dfw 10 месяцев назад

      @@akj2387 yes. The 3 series was better in the bends for me and more engaging but the vast majority of my commute is cruising along the A38. The A4 is immense in this regard with soundproofing beyond the 3 series and a silky smooth ride.
      After a long day at work, the relaxing A4 is just what I need.

      What spec of the A4? I ended up getting a 2018 1.4 Sport TFSI with tinted windows and a piano black interior.
      Last year I was shopping between a 2019 318d and a 2018 A4 1.4 TFSI. First real car after graduation, both were just under 20k and had low miles.
      The A4 is very comfy, my car has the standard suspension, not the sports or the adaptive one. Pretty quite too.

    One of the dullest cars on the market! The main infotainment screen looks like an afterthought, very poor integration. As for the new Audi naming structure, oh yeah never did that degree in college! Ridiculous!! Did you say 50k for this? Outrageous! I would never buy this car or any of it’s German competitors. Rather pay for something more interesting and more reliable, yes I mean Japanese!

      T1M3_T0_L0S3 Yes the new model types for each of their cars. I’m not talking about A4. I’m talking about 35 on this particular car which somehow differentiates from other cars in this model range. What the hell does that mean? 3.5 Litre engine. Of course not!! What was wrong with 2.0 for a two litre engine? Unnecessary and ridiculous!
