    The tailoring on the borrowed dress is not the best IMO. It looks like there's bulging fabric right under the bust, and there's too much skin showing through the buttons...it looks like they're stretching to get to the buttons. The button loops should be tighter.

    • @mayamorabito1669

      There's people who think sexy is showing skin, others think sexy is fitted and covered and some think sexy is how you feel.
      Just cause they say sexy it doesn't 100% mean skanky or showy it's all about how the person feels.

    • @sheenashroder5315
      @sheenashroder5315 5 лет назад +10

      I think I can understand why a women would want to choose a “sexy” dress. Like if in her normal, everyday life she always dressed in something simple, she’d want to shake things up for her big day. I thought her dresses looked fine. They were form fitting, which fit her sexy criteria, but I still found them elegant. They both seemed appropriate for her body shape, and they didn’t look trashy. Like someone mentioned before, I think maybe you’re associating “sexy” with “trashy.” There’s some gorgeous, form fitting, illusion, sheer, etc. wedding dresses out there that would look great on brides and are still modest for the occasion.

    I am tired of brides saying they want to look "sexy" for their wedding. Then they come out wearing low cut dresses with their hooters 90% showing or the dress is way too tight, the slit is cut up so high they look like a stripper or the back is cut all the way down to the top of their bottom. They think they look so good but instead look really cheap. Just buy a dress the flatters your figure and doesn't overexpose and you will look elegant, classy and beautiful.

    • @taraharrison8381
      @taraharrison8381 4 года назад +1

      Yeah those crazy v's that go practically below the bustline ...oh ugh. I'm amazed on normal clothes that a woman could feel comfortable since it looks like it will just flop off and expose you, but as a fashion for a wedding dress seems just like you said: a stripper. And that is nothing against professional women who dance, i mean the connotation contrasting with *marraige*.

      Jenna Marie I think the thing they don’t specifically say here, is that Dad is dying. What Kelly did here, was basically make a new dress from the fabric of Mom’s. It means a lot to mom, to Dad, and to Amy.
      Mom’s original dress was very, very outdated. Definitely can’t expect Amy to wear the thing in it’s original state.
      Before they go on this show, Mom agrees that the dress will be dramatically changed, and that her daughter still may not wear it.
      Once they actually appear on the show, everybody’s on the same page.
      Amy looks fabulous in the remade dress.

      The point is that she has a piece of mom's dress in her dress. The original dress was absolutely hideous.

    A dress doesn't in my opinion make the long lasting marriage. Its the LOVE that the couple has for each other that makes a long lasting marriage. I wore jeans and a long sleeve purple shirt when I got marriage for the 3rd time. And we just celebrated our 10th anniversary last month. So, I just proved my point we're as much in love as the day we said I love you for the first time.

    I don't get the point of this show. It enables pushy guilt-craven mothers to be even worse, it destroys old vintage dresses which plenty of women want, and the original ends up looking like it was made on the neighbor's sewing machine. All they did was destroy a vintage dress, and guilt the girl into not getting the dress she wanted.

    I like the borrowed dress but it doesn't seem to fit her. The buttons in the back are being stretched to the point they are actually gaping in the back and you can see the underlay underneath is creasing from being stretched. I hope that once the show is over they tailored it more and had it fit her better because it is lovely it just needs to fit her better

    so wait mum got to go and get a new dress that suited her... but is insisting that her daughter wears her dress 0.o It looks nothing like the initial dress. Basically, she cut a few pieces off and added it to a completely different dress.

  • @anonymous-en5uq

    So many doubtful comments about the dress she chose couldn't be her Mom's dress. It is so very possible to break down Mom's dress completely and reconstruct the dress using most of the fabric from the original. A good tailor could make that happen.
    I would hope this show would not chance fraud and jail for a dress. And remember folks, they are making money by making these dresses over.

    I wish I could have worn my mom's dress but it got wrecked in a flood that we had so she had to get rid of it and it got discoloured before that but I love the dress that I did find, bought it off a friend for like 150.00 but I do wish I could of had that experience of drying on dresses in a store.
