- Remaking vintage dresses is one of my favorite things to do! When Mia contacted me about redoing her mother's wedding dress, I was super excited!

You did a wonderful job and I guess I’m of the minority here but the dress before looked so wonderful I cried when the bottom of the top part was cut.
Just stumbled upon the channel. I just wish I could have seen that beautiful dress on the bride to be!
That was a beautiful remake. A dress to be proud of.
Thank you 🙂
WOW! Beautiful! When you were cutting it, I was holding my breath.
Thank you! 🙂
Through the whole video, I keep thinking about the daughter that took her moms wedding dress and had this done, without her moms permission and knowing her mom wanted to reware it for their vow renewal. I always wondered how the seamstres reacted when she found out she had ultimatly distroyed stolen property
I’m going to be doing the same. My mom wanted me to wear her dress and it’s still within style although 15 years old.
So nice that something can be remade for today's style, you did a beautiful job. Love your channel!
Thank you so much 🙂 glad you’re enjoying my channel too!
What a fabulous transformation and updated dress. The level of detail you went to is incredible, all that hand stitching shiw how professional you are. I hope she loved it ❤
so very pretty. I wish we could see the finished product on the bride.
You are a magician! That is one of the most beautifully gorgeous remakes I have EVER seen. I usually HATE remakes I usually find the dress is ruined, in my opinion. Not this one! Absolutely marvelous you dear woman are INCREDIBLY TALENTED.
Thank you so much! My goal was to make it look as good as a modern day wedding gown and keep some of the original look!
You are a master of master seamstresses!! What a beautiful job applying your skills and ingenuity. I am mesmerized watching your videos!
Thank you! I’m so glad you’re enjoying them 😃
Wow! Have to admit I cringed when you first cut into it. It turned out beautifully!❤
Well Done! That dress turned out FABULOUS!
Thank you!
What a beautiful gown your mother wore. Exquisite taste Fr the 90s.
The endresult is a beautiful ‘new’ dress! 🥰 I hope the bride and her mother are happy how this turned out! 😘☺️
"Skirtless dress" is how I will be referring to bodices from now on
It didn’t even dawn on me that I said that until you commented. Too funny 😆
@The Tailorette 😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊z😢😅 zada 😢hot 😢😢tub time bhi hai bolte na Miata engine and 😊😊😊😅😮😮

This was so beautiful!!
Thank you!
I'm still just amazed that the mannequin was so adjustable. LOL
That came out fantastic! I am shocked that you transformed it into such a lovely dress. Is that silk tulle that you used or is it a synthetic? I’m just getting ideas for my daughter’s dress. I wish she could wear mine, but she is too tall and has a larger bust.
This incredible!! And not too far off from what I want to do with my mom's dress!! Are you taking new inquiries??
❤Beautiful, I always think the hand sewing makes it more personalised. Simple stunning ❤
Very lovely! You have a talent
This is so WONDROUS!!!
Just beautiful!!!
You make it look so easy!
Wow that was awesome! You are amazing
Awesome job, great refashioning
Wow this was fascinating what a job !
Beautiful job
This was beautiful. Is there a way to see the bride in the dress as well?
Thank you! Good question! Her wedding is next year so it hasn’t happened yet, but perhaps I could snatch one 🙂
Wow! What a transformation! What sentiment behind the dress and how its lovely merge incorporates “something old”! Next year was last year… an update request to your video pretty please? And I didn’t see it in the comments, so my guess on the year of the original … 1979? ❤🎉👰🏻♀️
So she basically recycled the fabric of a beautiful dress into a petticoat.
Beautiful
"Made in West Germany" your sewing machine is from before "Die Wende" is that possible? Very nice dress! Great job!
Nice job !
It would have been still pretty by just removing the sleeves. My opinion…it still turned out very pretty and modern.
Que hermoso trabajo! Sería genial si enseñaras a coser alta costura.
You did your thing with that! They don’t make them like you anymore😅
what machine did you use for the rolled hem at 5:01?
MY YOUNGEST MIGHT WEAR MY 1986 DRESS AND SAID SHE MAY WANT TO DISS THE TRAIN LOL
❤❤❤❤❤
What would the approximate cost be to restore?
I like "old" dress better
The dress is now but the skirt needs more on it to plain
I love you tnx so much
Sad... what is with this generation's hatred of sleeves?
Destruction of that dress was ruthless...Nothing was saved for future changes. What ever happened to conserving parts/dresses for the next generation?
Actually, in a way it WAS conserved for a future generation. A dress that was going to sit idle in storage was lovingly transformed into something the next generation could wear with pride. Better to be used and loved again in a repurposed state than to gather dust. Seamstress did a great job too
@lexisotelo8010 what Vickie ment was that. she could have seam ripped it. to keep all the pieces intact so they can be reassembled in the future if need be.
but they way the dress was cut it can't be salvaged. it was savagely taken apart.
You destroyed a beautiful wedding dress, that had puff sleeves. What's happening to women nowadays?
So sorry you feel that way 🙂 some, like myself don’t wear puffed sleeves very well because it makes our shoulders look buff. Others pull it off well. This customer wanted to shrink the look of the shoulders. Neither way is right or wrong, it depends on the shape of the wearer 🙂
@@thetailorette Sorry, I thought the dress was yours. I think puff sleeves go with every woman. But anyway, thanks for explaining this :)
Totally ruined
