Seeing the Wolf pack is more amazing than the Bear encounter. Thanks Todd for bringing our beautiful, amazing world In to our living room via mobile phone. Thanks
Ha, yes… indeed it was much more rewarding… I locked eyes with a wolf from 30 yards & we both just stood there… that was awesome! Cheers Lonesome Pine…
@@theparkjunkieyou said your headed back east. Since you have been having all these rare wild encounters. Maybe visit the Everglades National Park again and encounter an elusive Florida Panther and Exoctic Burmese Phython. That would be cool. Thanks Todd.
I always enjoy your updates. I only found your channel because of the Yellowstone flooding (we had a holiday booked there and then the pandemic hit). Your news and updates kept us informed and I am happy to say we had a wonderful visit to Yellowstone (all the way from the UK) this summer!
Great video, as you always do. We have So enjoyed your videos from Yellowstone and look forward to what you have in store this Fall! Thank you very much. Betty and Ray
Thank you for all the news on National Parks. I will be heading to Yellowstone in 9 days and rewatching your videos. Enjoy Zion. Hope it cools off for you.
I have been hoping to see a wolf for years! Always thought it would happen through a scope from a great distance… but nope, ended up that they were right in front of me!!! Super stoked! Definitely a summer highlight!
Thank you PJ for the summer in Yellowstone. Found you looking for news of the flooding and stayed for your hiking. Great videos. Looking forward to your next adventure .
Thanks for the update. I just visited Haleakala NP in Hawaii and am letting you know the road to the top is in excellent shape. It appears to have been paved recently. However, it is one scary adventure, with steep drop offs and no guard rails most of the way. My rental car was a Dodge Challenger so powering up was no problem.
Good to hear Tim! I love that park, although I haven’t been there in nearly a decade! Time for an island flight… 🤔 The Sliding Sands Trail leaves from up there! Crazy trail… & the east side rocks too! Thanks!
Mr. Todd, what you do here is so unique. I do not think anyone else on youtube does this type of content. I wish you the best. Thank you. I aways look forward to your productions.
I hope we can raise awareness of some park proposals in the long term. I’m concerned that we will soon have some concerns with continued affordable access to public lands. Thanks for your support thus far… 🙏
Thank you for another excellent National Park update. We'll be visiting Zion in a couple of weeks time, hopefully the temperature have subsided a little!
Thanks Sharon! Yes, the wolves were SO COOL… I’ve wanted that meeting for years! I’m super stoked to be back in the desert! Too many cool scenes here to even count! But I’m down to start ticking off some adventures! Cheers
Hey Todd! Another great roundup of park news. I'm really enjoying these weekly park news videos so my vote is please keep doing them. A question just out of curiosity and not meaning to pry into your private life, When you leave one National Park and head to another, do you have park employment secured ahead of time?
& no, I usually don’t really have anything lined up, although I did in Yellowstone. I have pretty much just lived & worked here in Zion & traveled for about half the year due to the flexibility of my work schedule. So most of my recent national park visits are as a visitor, albeit a regular, long term visitor… 🤠
So, I take it your Yellowstone gig has ended? Not surprising that Zion is hot (and crowded!) this time of year, I suppose it might be cooler up at Lava Point or a bit further afield in Cedar Breaks. Looking forward to your trip report from The Narrows...have you ever gone down to The Subway? Until next time, happy trails!
Yes, that’s right Yawn, I no longer in the Yell… My work ended about a month ago. So I was just lounging & hiking trails for a month & soaking up that Yellowstone summer sun! But I’m eager for fall here in the desert! So much adventure down here… endless!
Yay, you made it to the desert SW! I'm thinking fall in Yellowstone would be awfully nice though, it's been too dang hot during the day. :) I can't believe you saw wolves in Pelican Valley! So cool!! Here's a reminder to keep speeds low and pay attention on park roads (and others with curves and dropoffs!) A guy took an unplanned descent down an alpine hillside near the top of Trail Ridge Road in ROMO the other night. No word yet on what happened to cause this. Luckily he (a Florida Man!, poor guy!) was able to walk the 500 feet to the road after his SUV had rolled at least once before coming to a stop. I read the report of the first motorist (a local) on the scene who had seen headlights where no headlights should be. So scary! I'm glad it was in a grassy spot and not a rock strewn cliff face.
Yes, I bet it is quite nice up there for fall, but I get restless! 😁 The wolves were super cool… I’ve always wanted to lock eyes with one… Felt good to see them on my last Yellowstone hike of the year… A good farewell…
Well, yes... done some mountain biking in there too. I understand that area is divided into a few sections, including the Pine Mountains... I used to go up there to get away from the crowds, hiked to the top of the Pine Mountains once upon a time, more than a decade ago now... Not a soul in sight up in there... Hope you're staying cool!

Awesome! We’re headed into some really cool terrain over the next month or two! I’m excited!
Home again, home again! What an epic summer PJ...and wolves! Another incredible lap around the sun, son!
Yes! I gotta say, the wolves were one of the highlights of the summer! Been wanting that experience for a long, long time!

Movin on up!
Very interesting…🤔 thanks park junkie! 😊
You got it Sandie!
Good job Park Junkie as always. Thanks
Thanks Simon
I'm glad you had a good time in my beloved neighborhood Yellowstone. Still very warm here in Mt.
I loved it up there! Although, I must admit that I really don’t mind not carrying bear spray… 🫣
I’ll see y’all up there soon! Cheers my friend!

Thank you for another excellent National Park update. We'll be visiting Zion in a couple of weeks time, hopefully the temperature have subsided a little!
Yeah, it should be cooling off by then! August was nice here with the monsoons, but it seems they have gone away… 🫤
Love your change of scenery. Excellent video. The wolf pack was very cool.
Thanks Sharon! Yes, the wolves were SO COOL… I’ve wanted that meeting for years! I’m super stoked to be back in the desert! Too many cool scenes here to even count! But I’m down to start ticking off some adventures! Cheers
I use to live in Arizona and have been to Moab to go off roading. Love the Red Rock. Enjoy!
Great job ! I was hoping I might see you in the future at Yellowstone.

thought maybe you were in Bryce Canyon, beautiful there
I'll be up there soon... maybe real soon, as it's a lot cooler up there!
@@theparkjunkie its a gorgeous park, can't wait for updates from there.
Thanks for the update, Todd. We have also enjoyed Zion. Make sure you check out the Spotted Dog restaurant in Springdale. Yum…
Oh yeah, I know the Spotted Dog… That place is the best kept secret in Utah Dining! I should go there tonight… 😋

Wow don't forget to take us with you
You’ve got a front row seat already reserved Juanita! 🤙
Todd ..there is no way in my book the wolves over the bears.. the Bears were one of the coolest things my eyes have seen
Yes, the bears were probably a bit more exciting... however my encounter with the wolves was much more peaceful... which was nice! 😎
70 in Brianhead!
You guys always have it made! Hope to see you soon bro!
