Your video helps a lot to me. Do you recommend any Mattress topper for side sleepers? I have pain on right side of my lower back & hip pain, which side I should sleep? Thanks Dr. Lot of prayers for you for helping
I was able to pop my "right" side hip back into place after watching your videos. If followed and done properly, the results will absolutely amaze you. 10 years of pain, and the Dr's telling there was nothing they could do, finally gone.
Wanted to say thank you for your help. The Ballerina exercise has changed my life. It is giving me instant relief with my lower back and left hip pain I have been suffering for many years now. I do however have some difficulties some days with balance, especially when doing the left side. I manage this by standing close to my bed or tabe to help balance me, sometimes I have to steady myself with my hand, this helps me, but on stronger days I place my hand on my hip with no trouble. I am hoping given time this will improve the more I do the exercises. I am now able to go shopping, walk further and everyday tasks like housework so much easier. If it begins to hurt I simply re-do the Ballerina exercise and it instantly takes the pain away, it's truly amazing!
This is what I needed! I've been struggling with back and hip pain since injuring my glute med and TFL deadlifting a month ago. A weak hip is the contributing factor. Now my lower back is seized up all the time and I can't seem to break the cycle. Physios and chiro is not helping and I've been trying all sorts of hip strengtheners. I'll throw these into the mix too. I just want to be pain-free again!
Thank you! I woke up in excruciating pain in my left lower back and hip. I looked up videos and yours came up. I watched it and did the exercises along with you and literally had relief. The pain isn’t completely gone but I’m going to do them again. Again, thank you.
Thank you so much!! Hurt my lower back a bit about a week ago but wasn't feeling too bad, but played basketball last night and woke up almost unable to get out of bed. I found I can do the stretches if I go VERY slowly, and it's helping a ton. The pelvic arch is great especially right now. Really appreciate you making these videos 🎉
YOU SIR, DR. ROWE ARE AMAZINGGGGGG! I’m a clinical massage therapist and of course, pulled my back. I k it was QL from the gate- combined with glute med and and that could be more supportive 😉 I will be sharing your videos with my clients! BLESSINGS and love to you. Infinite gratitude 🙏🏽
Been battling back/glute/hip tightness and pain off and on for years. Between doing this video and the one with a racquetball I feel much more mobile. Thank you for sharing your content.
On a quest for a solution for my "piraformis" syndrome as I've heard it called. Strengthening the core has been sugguseted, so I'm glad I found this channel.
Thank you so much. Am grace from Kenya. I moved houses today since am reporting to a new job in a new county on monday (1 day away). I strained my lower back and hip due to lifting and i have had severe pain since last night, could bed forward or lift my right leg at all. I was worried i would've to excuse my self on first day reporting new job which isnt a good way to start. So i looked up at 12 am what i could do and your video came first. Woke up did the exercises as you instructed and within less that 30 min the pain was gone. Am grateful for resourceful people like you. I probably would've to lost the job if i dont report on day 1. Blessings Grace
Dr. Rowe, you are an angel 😇 for helping people get back relief. You are amazing. I feel much better when I do the exercises you display. Thank you so much.😊 You are a blessing.
At eleven this morning watched this and the three exercises in about fifteen min. and...... at eleven thirty pain was gone.... Last time I had this pain took me two weeks to get over.... Thank you very much.........
on the strengthening exercise 1 with the lowering of the leg towards the bed, on the side that I experience lower back and hip pain one of my hip pops, its not painful when it pops. thank you sir for the video
I developed this exact pain over the course of a year. I finally figured out what was causing it. MY CAR. It was a current model car, compact model, it may have been a combination of the seat and the foam was not designed to fully go over the wire frame. So I think those wires frames inside the seat, plus I'm a slightly big guy, the seats were small, the frame was hitting muscles, tendons, nerves all along mostly my right side. Add to that small cars have more rigid body frames and suspension, the constant force was traveling up into the seat and causing trauma of some kind. I bought another larger sized car, same automaker, better supportive and well constructed seats with lumbar support, and a smoother suspension, more space and it was like instant relief. After several self treatment stretches, moving around like shown here but triggering really bad pain, stretching and stretching, and I have not felt the pain that I was feeling I still feel a little bit, but I keep stretching and it’s a long road to eliminate most of the pain.
Hello sir your exercise are very good for my piriformis syndrome , i am only 19 years old and i have this pain , i am very sad , i think when will this pain will leave , can you give me some exercises and can you tell me how much time it take to fully recover from it 🙏
I went to Howard University for a five-year master's degree in physical therapy. I never graduated, but I know enough to know you are providing solid information to people who really need it.
Another great vid...you always have just what we need. Thankyou for all the help and hard work you do. Can't thank you enough for all you do. RESPECT!!!
This video was definitely a good one for me. I have used the, tennis ball in a sock, for back and shoulder massage with great success but didn't know how badly I needed it on my glut area for hip and low back pain. Exercises and rolling my glues has helped greatly.
Thank you so much doctor 😊 after 9 months of painful lower back pain finally I got cure by doing this belarina exercise. I suffered a lot because of my lower back pain. Finally I am happy 😊 thank you again. God bless you
Thank you! I use a lot of your techniques for my back and hips. I am terrified to go back to a chiro as i have before and he snaps and jerks my hips and legs and I am so afraid he will paralyze me! Love your gentle techniques!
I have kyphosis, as well as aches and pains from being on my feet all the time either working, or dog walking, and I have a habit of naturally leaning on a hip when standing so my hips are often slightly out of alignment too. The difference after finding this channel is miraculous! I can't even begin to describe the relief I've gotten from following along with your content. The only complaint I have about these videos is that they fail to catch your halo and wings on camera.
Hi! I have kyphosis too, as well as the same pains you've mentioned. Besides this one, what other videos helped you the most? Wish you good health and recovery. Regards from Brazil. Gustavo
I tried the first two, the first one was really giving me a struggle, so I decided there was way more work needed there, second exercise worked wonders, instant relief after the sets were done..
So very many thanks for this amazing video Dr Rowe, I’ve found it to be so very helpful. My husband has a great deal of pain in his lower back, partly due to Stenosis, Arthritis and Protruding Discs 1 & 2. I’m hoping these wonderful exercises will benefit him as he suffers so very much with lower back pain as well as Hip pain. Fingers crossed he’ll get relief. Very many thanks indeed.
Hi Dr. Rowe! Could you do a video on mistakes made in squat/deadlift that cause lower back pain? I am pretty sure my overextending my spine is causing bad issues with my lumbar. Thanks for all you do!
Thank you so so so much for this! All of these areas have been tight and sore, however I did experience some pops and reliefs that were much needed. 🙏🏾
hello there Ive just started doing a stretch here and there and i already feel a difference i went to the emergency room and they ruled it muscular .Well I now know its more than that.I love how the videos are easy to follow and very relaxing...thank you
Thanks for posting this video, this has been so much help in getting better movement and strengthening my lower back muscles. In fact, your exercises are more effective than the ones given to me to do by an osteopath that I have been to see here in England.
I’m going to give this a try. I have suffered with lower back and hip pain for years. I was always told it’s from my disc disease and have had 2 back surgeries and several spinal injections to no relief. I’m just a guinea pig now and keep getting passed around to drs and PT. I wish someone would have the knowledge to figure out what’s going on with me. I’d love to live my life again!!
Dr. Rowe, I am experiencing hip pain. Thanks for recommending the stretches and exercises. I feel better now but have a question about the ballerina stretch. In the video, you have the right leg cross over to the left leg. At this point, where should you put the body weight? On the left foot? I have problem in keeping balance when standing on one leg and I can't keep my balance when practicing the ballerina stretch if only one leg (the left leg) is supporting the body weight.
Shut up and take my money 💰 just watched and already feel like 10 years of pain are getting relief 😮💨. Literally living saint agree with the comments ❤❤❤
When my right hip starts hurting, I get numb skin on my right leg down to my knee. If I lift my right leg and pull my foot towards my left side, my right hip snaps, sometimes loud enough to hear it in another room, and shortly after that, the numb sensation goes away and it feels like cool water flowing thru my veins. When it gets real bad, I get restless leg syndrome in my right leg, it feels like it wants to start running. Rinse & repeat about 7-10 times a day. This will probably be the same exercises I’ll get next month during PT. Thanks for sharing.
