Colin McRae Rally 1 (PC - 1998) - Toyota Corolla WRC what a beauty at australian rally!!

After finishing WRC games from Evolution Studios (i`ll definitely revisit part 4 and 5) now i have to check out its biggest rival - Colin McRae Rally series!! I`ve actually bought this game almost 27 years ago and i fell in love with rally games genre. Year before i bought Gran Turismo and i was blown away by graphics but after some time i realized it was more about collecting cars and races wasnt as exciting as here. Ofcourse in 2025 its more of a nostalgia trip but it still can be fun learning stages an grinding records. I must say i`ve enjoyed it!!
I had problem with my wheel, at first game was crashing with it, then i couldnt connect it, so i decided to play with my ancient gamepad - Logitech WingMan RumblePad ;] from 2000. It worked very well, analog stick are fantastic even today. Maybe wheel would be an overkill for this game as its far from simulation after all.

Absolutely, does what good rally game should do and it's not dull.

I think you should do a comparison of this stage in CMR 2.0, it's also there. Same car, same stage.

I think stage with a "train" is different in CMR2, although i was thinking about comparing some stages.
