I've been waiting to see you do this one. Long gone are the days when I feel like someone isn't looking over my digital shoulder even when my computer or phone is completely powered down.
Essential service from BIT. Thanks!

Brett In Tech, ThanksMuch!
Excellent tips.
Excellent information. I use Linux on all but one of my computers . Unfortunately, I do need windows for some things I do. I made the changes you suggested on that one computer.
Awesome information as usual Brett! Yet another video to bookmark and send out to others. Thanks! 👍👍
Thanks B, your narration is always clear and concise I bet MS loves you long time 💪💪💪💻🖱🖥💻
IF it's possible ( or convenient ) for you could you please do a video on doing this kind of thing for your phone 📲 ( Android & iPhone ) . Thanks ♑️✍️🇳🇴🇦🇺
🇦🇽🇸🇯🇸🇪🇫🇮 It's very complicated, although he's done quite a few on more private browser options! 😎✌️
Great video
Very useful video. I bet Microsuck just loves you. We do!!!!
I would love to disable the automatic updates from Skype, Adobe Acrobat and Opera.
Please help with disabling the security notifications that keep popping all the time, i dont need them.
I cant disable it. I already have an antivirus but i dont use it as i dont feel the need to!!
Excellent!
What if the toggle buttons are just fake which actually don't do what it says?
You could say that about anything really, in that case you'd have to make your own OS lol
@@SWUploads971 Open sourcing things doesn't create this confusion
I just want to know how to get your windows theme!!!
🪰 Great stuff Brett! I haven't given up on privacy tactics, but I have shrugged off a lot of it. Like a person shooing away an annoying insect! 😎✌️
Almost none of this matters if what you're trying to do is keep your data private. No matter what you turn on or off MS will take what they want. Don't think so? Turn off everything you want then put a sniffer on the line... Tons of data being sent - what you're looking at, clicking on, mail, location... they're taking it all. All these switches you're fiddling with are mostly just to make you feel good - maybe "tailor YOUR experience" a bit.
And you have proof that all that 'data' is going to Microsoft? Keep that tin hat on tight buddy.
@@WhYArEYouSoSeRiOuS Sure, if all you're after is a peppier system. If on the other hand you actually care about security and not sending everything you do to MS and likely the CIA/NSA as well, then it doesn't really matter - Windows is just not the OS you want is you're after security like that.
He forgot these settings when accessing your Microsoft Account.
Click Privacy
Scroll down to "Expanded people suggestions" > choose to turn it off because Microsoft collects that data when they are suggesting people.
Scroll down to "More privacy settings"
- there are 4 card modules across the page (in desktop computer) titled: "Personalized ad settings" | "Apps and services" | "Promotional communications" | "Other Microsoft products".
The first 3 from the left to review the settings or App details, go through each one and turn off, or turn off permissions, or clear any data. / I turned off all of it and removed all permissions. If some App wants permissions for something, it will ask and you can decide on that when it does.
For some of these settings to view, they will open a new browser tab, some will open into the same tab.
** Note: to return to the main privacy page listings, use the menu above clicking "Privacy" because somehow the browser back button won't work properly.

That is fine if a person does not need any specific windows based programs they already paid good money for, then yes go to Linux.
...but I researched that option to find Linux does not readily support enough windows based programs to do that, even with plugins and the sort.
Especially if a person invested a lot of time into some online multi-player games.
So Linux is a good option, but not good enough in some aspects.
This is why others who find ways to block such Microsoft controls is a good thing.
We need someone who builds a Windows based OS that is independent from Microsoft and completely free of privacy violations.
Easier to just download the Windows power shell script and DEBLOAT Windows 11
Hardcore agree but sometimes we miss the little things
Disgusting that this all has to be done and I'll bet there's more
bonus privacy tip don't use edge at all
1. Not install Win11.
2. Everything else.
