I do recommend hiring someone if you have enough revenue/profit. I have over 2000 transactions per year and don't know anything about accounting. I hired a person who specializes in Etsy and other online businesses - "Small Business Sarah", whom I found online. She keeps my Quickbooks account up to date, sends me the Profit & Loss statements every month, and produces my annual P&L, which I then submit to my accountant at the end of the year. Totally worth it, as I would be pulling my hair out if I had to do it myself.
It wasn't too bad but I knew to keep things separated and I'm good with keeping track of that. I was sole prop but to start getting tax advantages and growing my business, it is now important to level up with a CPA since I'm making triple the amount of money I made last year ($21k last year) @@dylanjahraus
