Girl, I could rant with you on that for HOURS. I have the SAME issues with it in so many books. (Not even gonna START on the book I’m reading now. Literally have SO MANY complaints on it and the MC’s relationship with her bio dad) You are literally one of the only authors I KNOW won’t make me mad about those things 😆 (only have like two others so far. But you wrote Lor and Iohmar, so obviously you’re the favorite 😆) I can’t wait to see your next projects and art! (Especially with the tease on your insta of the IDS cover 😫) I really can’t believe it’s already been almost a year since you started the fantasy romance. Time really flew by for me. Genuinely impressed with how quick you write, even when things got tough. Again, I can’t wait to see what you write next, and to get this book. (And the comic lol. She has issues 😂. Yes I got permission to write this, she finds it hilarious. And she has NO shame in liking Galen… she scares me 😆)

So on the point about chipping away at more complex projects while writing the ones that are a bit more straighforward. There are projects that I think are so cool but realize that they're too complex to write all in one go especially just starting to get into fiction writing since a brief try in early high school days. Also, sometimes feels too complex that I'm not even sure I'll be able to write them

7:48 - As you are bringing up this point, I am working on a chapter in my fantasy novella where my mMC is in conflict *because* of his brother (and some of his own actions, but the brother really fueled it). 🤭 I am really trying to follow through with my foreshadowing. I mean, I only have this book 50% outlined and the other 50% is pantsed because I am writing based on a contest prompt. There is romance, but it is not the main plot.
So funny that the fantasy romance book started as a novella and became so long. Also in my latest fantasy book the MMC has beef with his brother and his father lol. I will work on adding lots of depth and resolution. I guess it is kinda cliche.
