How long did you let the clay dry before sculpting it into the pot? I tried while wet and it was frustrating!

Approximately one hour. Make a rectangle block and leave it for some time (depends on type of clay) when it's hard but not completely dry start sculpting. Make 4 small rectangles for the foot (i don't know what should I call them) of pot. when dry completely stick them with super glue.

I don't know about jewelry wire but ,magnet wire is pure copper or aluminium so it is quite soft and easy to bend.
