@@alanidron2133 actually there are two 6 strings playing on intro while George is playing 12 string. The two 6;strings are playing two note intervals arpeggios of the same chord so you’re actually hearing the entire triad in F#m . Then on the D ,and E it’s unison two note intervals . It’s definitely Paul playing one of those parts. I’m sure you know they recorded three songs on a June day in 1965 starting with I’m Down, then I’ve Just Seen A Face ,with the entire group then Paul did the acoustic,and vocals on Yesterday . ALL three were entirely finished except the mixes ,and strings on Yesterday which was a couple of days later . ALL THREE are Pauls solo efforts writing . To write,play,sing three songs all in completely different genres by one person is beyond mind boggling. I never use the word genius , but if there is such a thing Paul definitely is one …
@@jacquescousteau217 wow ..thanks.. so i guess we don't know for sure if paul played an arpeggio to with georges..or vice versa..ie whose original idea it was. around that time george was doing graet arpeggio parts "and i love her" 2nd verse, "what you're doing" but of course paul is great on every instrument and could have been inspired to come up with great arpeggio parts of his own.. a healthy competitive spark
You even got that little pull off on first verse A chord. They did so many subtle things in there music that one has to do a deep dive to hear all the nuances . The 12 string playing counterpoint with the other guitar on solo is also brilliant ,and of course the harmonic intro on the two 6 strings playing the F#m - D - E arpeggiated intervals …
Paul played with George and John on the basic track. Overdubs are played by Paul during the intro and George during the solo on the 12 string guitar
