Sorry for the 17 second late start on the vocals, just an error. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also i just want to say that at the time editing this comment, this video has gained me 5.8k views and over 30 subscribers. I published this video months ago and to see it still gaining views after 3 months is crazy!
The composition is good but it's not complicated to play. Hard to call it "slaying". If you want to hear a bunch of people slaying at once, try something like Sound Chaser by Yes
Ringo was smart. I don't think he ever got hurt playing the drums. Made gazillions putting up with the other musicians for while and went on to live anexciting life. You made it! And then some.
Man listen to Billy Preston's Hammond B-3 organ parts - brilliant - he was such a talent - he was a perfect fit for The Beatles and i could see and hear why John wanted him to join the band.

The vocals, chorus, guitar, and bass are all cool and great. But what I want to highlight is Ringo's drumming. Slow tempo songs tend to lose rhythm, but in this song that's about 8 minutes long, he effortlessly keeps the rhythm. Of course, the tape was cut, so the original must have been longer. What's especially great is that most of the drumming is improvised. Ringo plays his unique phrases that come into his head for 8 minutes without losing rhythm. This is no easy feat for an ordinary person.
Love the photos. I wish there was video of this session. Look at what they were wearing. Very casual clothes. Never saw Ringo wearing a jacket before the Rooftop show. 😊
thanks! It's cool and interesting that Paul played the Ric here (according to the photo). Possibly due to his using flatwounds, it almost sounds fretless, it's so smooth. Love those slides/bends. Excellent.
@MurarichSiberian just googled flatwound, "a flat wound string is constructed using wire that is flat and ribbon-like in shape" so apparently it's just another type of guitar string (i do not play a single instrument 😭 sorry)
So many people say that the white noise was a wind machine so I was debating whether i should call it a wind machine or white noise but i chose wind machine
The Minimoog didn't exist when this song was recorded, and it didn't have any presets either. This was done with a full size modular Moog using the white noise generator.
Amazing job, really!! Just one thing: John''s photo is missing here on the guitars section!! You should have put both John and George's photos on tbe tele. The lead guitar in tbe middle of the song is also played by John!!
If you mean the tuned down section towards the end it’s actually down to D. And you might need to speak to literally thousands of blues players who have used that tuning on recordings since the first records were produced. Robert Johnson for one used dropped D all the time.
why is there guitar in the drum isolations ? didn’t they use headphones and have the amp somewhere else ? guess not. weird. i can hear little mistakes on the guitar and vocals in the background that made it on the album i guess.
@@DumbShortsYT i record music so i kno some stuff- so why wouldn't they isolate the amps and vocals and have ringo wear headphones so he could hear what he needed but there wouldn't b bleed from the amps?
NOT "Isolated" Tracks. Does anyone realize that a track with drums and guitar is NOT isolated in the PROFESSIONAL sense of Music Production? Certainly NOT. The author of THIS video post does NOT understand the distinction. Please LOOK ELSEWHERE for STEMS.

This is the best song on the album.
I can't get enough of this song. I think it's one of the best that was ever created in music history.
Man, Paul really had some of the best bass tones I've ever heard. One of my favorite bassists ever.
Ringo was smart. I don't think he ever got hurt playing the drums. Made gazillions putting up with the other musicians for while and went on to live anexciting life. You made it! And then some.
Well, there was that one time where Ringo shouted “Ive got blisters on my fingers!” At the end of Helter Skelter

Cool your pistols Lash LaRue, just a little mistake, we all make 'em!.
That little descending arpeggio and ascending bass is rolling around in my head constantly,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it's driving me mad!.
Nic e- love how this highlights Ringo's underappreciated cymbal work.
Right, his use of accenting on the ride cymbal!
Paul's Bass with the little tremolo's, bends, licks and subtle variations just raises the whole thing above the ordinary. Lovely to listen to.

Honestly it sounds like his hofner to me but idk for sure
Billy is, indeed, a fantastic performer. Listen to his work on I'm The Urban Spaceman, Intro/Outro and Death Cab For Cutie.
That´s not a wind machine, it´s the George's Mini Moog with the "white noise" preset
So many people say that the white noise was a wind machine so I was debating whether i should call it a wind machine or white noise but i chose wind machine
@@DumbShortsYT I respect your answer. But, no... It's actually a moog. Heavily used in this album.
@SeboDigital Got it
i thought i read somewhere they used both, ringo on the wind machine + george's moog

Ringo shines!
If your butt ain't dancing in the place your sittin' or layin' to Ringo's drumming, you ain't livin' right
What a masterpiece!
I can see why they had girls screaming 💀 but seriously they were Masters at their craft

at 20:17 we hear the guitar with the 6th string tuned to C#
not sure if it was the whole guitar, probably, i would have
Paul must have fixed the nut on Rickenbacker 4001 after the Let it Be sessions.
I thought I'm the only one with my guitars slightly out of tune... well, nit all giid music follows the BWV lol
It sounds like his hofner, especially with all the quick jumps up on the neck and the slight out of tuneness
What Ringo can do with a 4 min pop song The Greatest

Wasn 't the "wind machine" actually just white noise from a Moog synthesizer? I thought I had read that in an interview with producer George Martin!
Im pretty sure your right but a lot of people are also saying its a wind machine. I think your probably correct.

That Billy Preston, right?
Correct!
that is the dirtiest swampiest bass I have ever heard in music
