JF-35 has a more streamline fuselage than the KF-21 and F-35 , and with 2 engines is more in line with Naval carrier doctrine , but i really like the stealth Submarine version of the F-35.
In reality, the KF-21 cannot be developed as a fifth-generation fighter and can never be developed with South Korea's technological prowess. The KF-21 is smaller than China's J-20, Russia's Su-57, and the U.S. F-22 and cannot be expected to have proper combat capabilities.
KF21 has slanted tail rudder fin and non direct air intakes....Probably has very low Radar Cross Section based on these geometric stealth designs than the jets it will compete like F16, F18, and even F35 and J35.

The KF-21 has a giant spherical IRST sticking out of it’s nose, whereas the F-35 has an internal IRST. That IRST on the Kf-21 is very bad for stealth. Also the US has more than 40 years of stealth design experience. This is South Korea’s first attempt. Geometric shaping is only one part of stealth. What’s also very important is that there cannot be any panel gaps at all whatsoever. Panels have to be tight within nanometers. The F-35 is almost as stealthy as the F-22 even without accounting for RAM coating, their RCS is almost the same.

They will master this technology very quickly, and then start building many hundreds of them by the end of the decade. The mighty rise of China has overshadowed the much smaller South Korea, but their rise has been extremely impressive as well. They are a regional powerhouse, though not particularly renown for it. They are a top 8 global economy, a top 6 global military power, and often can be found in the top 5 global military weapons exporters in recent years. Comparing the J35 and the KF21 is probably an apples to oranges comparison, considering the J35 is probably a 5 gen multirole stealth fighter (good for air to ground missions, like the F35), whereas the KF21 is a stealthy 4.5+ gen air superiority fighter. It'll be a better comparison when the KF21 implements internal weapons bays, which I have heard is coming down the pipeline at some point. Even then, the comparison would be better suited for the J20.

There is no guarantee that 6th generations jets will arrive even by 2030, there is a lot left to learn about 5th generation jets for all countries including US.
The US 6th generation will definitely be here by 2030, but the 2nd fastest to 6th gen will probably be here 10 or more years after the US iteration. The US already has 500,000 flight hours in the F35 alone, and been flying the F22 for over 25 years now. Whatever the US has yet to learn, they're still generations ahead of everyone else.
KF21 has geometrical stealth excluding weapons bay.... In next iteration they will would work on weapons bay and more sophisticated radar absorbing coating to make KF21 truly 5th gen aircraft. Chinese engines, radar and sensors are inferior to S Korea. Chinese engines only last 300-500 hours compare to 900 hrs for Russian made and 4,000 hrs for US made engines.
Kf21 is taking role of Low side (High-Low) while f35 takes high role. The key of KF21 is to keep the production price below 65% of F35. If not, it will be in a big trouble. On the other Chinese fighter has no issue with that. It will have unlimited funding from ccp
The Kf-21 is estimated to cost around $80 million to $100 million. An F-35A costs around $80 million. It probably won’t cost less than an F-35A because the F-35 is getting mass produced in the thousands. But the F-35 is only available to close US allies. So other countries that do not have the F-35 available to them can buy the Kf-21.

a few correction. the kf-21 already has 6 working prototypes to be used for test during the next four years 2 of which are two seater versions. The plan is to end testing by 2026 and start mass production and deliver at least 40 units to the air force by 2028. while it is true that Korea received some transfer of technology from Lockheed Martin key technologies like the (AESA) radars, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) targeting pods, infrared search and track (IRST) systems, and radio frequency jammers were developed domestically within about 5 years time after the US government blocked the transfer of technology. currently 65% of the parts are produced domestically with plans to increase those numbers. We are currently developing our own turbo jet engines which hopefully will be ready to be implemented by the time block 2 or 3 goes into production. We are also planning to make the kf-21 a 5th generation fighter by block 3 with stealth features including a weapons bay. And there are also talks about developing kf-21 navy version which depends on the outcome of our plan to develop a medium class carrier. It's funny how chinese underestimated Korea when they've already seen what we can do with our various industries including electronics and automobile. if we spent as much money as china has in research and development we'd be much further ahead than we are right now. We have the sufficient talent and capability but lack the budget. That's something our politicians and government need to work on. And utilizing our allies as a resource because of our financial and time limitation is a smart choice and not a weakness. even china utilizes knowledge and technology obtained from russia and hacking other countries like the US. Normally from concept to demo, and from demo to taxi testing and flight test, system test, and to adaptation for the military it should take about 10 years. When time frame is shorter than 10 years, I think it is very fair for people to question the capability of the KF-21. KF21 can supercruise at mach 1.7 from test #7 from what I hear. Grippen can supercruise with mach 1.1 with air to air combat load with one GE414 engine thus KF21 with two GE414 engine should have ability to fly supercruise at mach 1.7.
I doubt it can supercruise at mach 1.7, even the F-22 can only supercruise at mach 1.6 and it has the most powerful and highest thrust performing twin engines. The only fighter jet engine with more thrust than the F-22 engine is the F-35’s F135 P&W engine. But the F-22 has two engines whereas the F-35 only has one and can only supercruise at mach 1.2

JF-35 has a more streamline fuselage than the KF-21 and F-35 , and with 2 engines is more in line with Naval carrier doctrine , but i really like the stealth Submarine version of the F-35.

KF21 has slanted tail rudder fin and non direct air intakes....Probably has very low Radar Cross Section based on these geometric stealth designs than the jets it will compete like F16, F18, and even F35 and J35.

a few correction. the kf-21 already has 6 working prototypes to be used for test during the next four years 2 of which are two seater versions. The plan is to end testing by 2026 and start mass production and deliver at least 40 units to the air force by 2028. while it is true that Korea received some transfer of technology from Lockheed Martin key technologies like the (AESA) radars, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) targeting pods, infrared search and track (IRST) systems, and radio frequency jammers were developed domestically within about 5 years time after the US government blocked the transfer of technology. currently 65% of the parts are produced domestically with plans to increase those numbers. We are currently developing our own turbo jet engines which hopefully will be ready to be implemented by the time block 2 or 3 goes into production. We are also planning to make the kf-21 a 5th generation fighter by block 3 with stealth features including a weapons bay. And there are also talks about developing kf-21 navy version which depends on the outcome of our plan to develop a medium class carrier. It's funny how chinese underestimated Korea when they've already seen what we can do with our various industries including electronics and automobile. if we spent as much money as china has in research and development we'd be much further ahead than we are right now. We have the sufficient talent and capability but lack the budget. That's something our politicians and government need to work on. And utilizing our allies as a resource because of our financial and time limitation is a smart choice and not a weakness. even china utilizes knowledge and technology obtained from russia and hacking other countries like the US. I think there's a reason why the j-35 resembles the f-22 and f-35.
So defensive, no matter how much people say, they will be ready when they are ready. Arguing with people is not gona make them go any faster. I think many comments is referring to a disbelieve that how soon South Korea can get a stealth fighter jet out, rationally speaking they do have a point, we are talking about fighter jet projects here, not paper planes. Normally from concept to demo, and from demo to taxi testing and flight test, system test, and to adaptation for the military it should take about 10 years. When time frame is shorter than 10 years, I think it is very fair for people to question the capability of the KF-21. Just keep an open mind that all military project in their development stage was delayed in some way or the other, the KF-21 project will be no different. In terms of copying, I think it is completely normal, pre-ww1 people call Germans copy cat because they copied British, ww2 the US fighters copyed Japanese Zero, when comes to cars everyone copys. Copy isn't a bad thing, it shows that people have the ability to adapt, this is just how monkeys are, why do you think we are not extinct.

J20 is more used on air combar but FK21 is used on ground combat. the very important is J20 have extremely small reflect(0.05 square metre) rate and very fast (2.5mach). compare to FK21 which have 0.1 square metre reflect rate and only 1.8 mach. so if FK21 went in compbat with J20.

KF21 can supercruise at mach 1.7 from test #7 from what I hear. Grippen can supercruise with mach 1.1 with air to air combat load with one GE414 engine thus KF21 with two GE414 engine should have ability to fly supercruise at mach 1.7.
I doubt it can supercruise at mach 1.7, even the F-22 can only supercruise at mach 1.6 and it has the most powerful and highest thrust performing twin engines. The only fighter jet engine with more thrust than the F-22 engine is the F-35’s F135 P&W engine. But the F-22 has two engines whereas the F-35 only has one and can only supercruise at mach 1.2
