@@cindymakita The adding value, how you can summarize a long history of employment in a few words
When transitioning to a new career how do you communicate value in your headline? I am transitioning from a hospital social worker to a sales development representative for tech companies.
Thank you alot this helps 🙏
you're welcome
Here's my situation. I'm a software support specialist and I want to change my career to Biotech/Pharma as a Regulatory affairs associate or Clinical Research Associate. Now those are my top 2 but there are 2 problems. 1) What if I do want to leave the doors to other opportunities? Because Bioinformatics or Health informatics is a third interest of mine. 2) Is it better to go for the job you want or the job you can REALISTICALLY GET?
Thank you 👍
You're very welcome!
Enlightening video clip, much obliged for sharing! Yet not received tool kit

Though I’m not looking for a job, but found it extremely insightful. I’d never thought to put results in the headline so I added mine. Did you know you can now get up to 260 characters in the profile?
Hey Darrell! Thanks for your comment. LinkedIn just updated this which is awesome! Definitely a bonus
As far as the result, I’m a new job seeker. I’m in college, and looking to transition into an entry level position. I only have academic accomplishments.
Did you do any volunteer work? Or active in some other activities? Use your strengths

Hello I'm studying communications and human resources at Middle Tennessee State University, and I have customer service, recruiting, and management skills. I'm really interested in working for HR. How do I put that in my headline? #helpplease
Hey Kathryn! You want to brand yourself for the roles you want! So use that same formula, but you can write something like "Aspiring HR Professional" for the target job title, and use HR-related keywords for the rest of the formula. Hope this helps!
How do you write an effective headline if you are currently unemployed? I left my previous job to get more experience in the field I'm in grad school for while devoting extra time to school assignments, so I am currently looking. I have been struggling with what to write since I am unemployed but still seeking.
Hey Alysha! The same rule applies here - brand yourself for the role you want to acquire
Beautiful! New subscriber, thank you !
Thank you!
So what if you have no specific target, have no specializations and you want to showcase your skills to recruiters from different job fields? 🤔
What about if you’re changing careers?
Great question! You want to brand yourself for the roles you want. So your headline should contain keywords from your target job titles and transferable skills because that is what recruiters will be searching for. Hope this helps!
These helpful videos are great, but the background music is annoying! At least, too loud, distracting...
