What I've always hated is how the anime censored nearly everything in the og series. There were so many gut-wrenching moments that were basically mellowed down to make the show suitable for kids to watch.
If there's one thing Bleach taught me: never trust guys with glasses 👓 We all experienced that moment, the Cuatro Espada reveal was just iconic. Regarding the Fracciones, they aren't really like the Gotei, in the sense, one is a proper military organization, while the Arrancars are more a bunch of beasts gathered by Aizen, so an Espada can choose to have some subordinates as well as no one, depends. About the anime, Studio Pierrot implemented very well many fights, with more action and flashbacks, sometimes a partial new writing, also animations will get soon much better, but yeah, censorship is a bad point. The manga instead is more consistent, art and the rest, straight to the point, but sometimes too much, quick or offscreens, that's why go for both versions of Bleach is the best choice.
Your bleach reviews are so enjoyable and I don't know why. Tho, It might be because of my interest in seeing someone else analyze and give their own thoughts on something I already have seen. Also the fact that you seem like a pretty chill person.
Seriously, Ichigo's despair in this scene moves mountains for me. Seeing him at his worst hurts, but that desperation is what reveals someone's true desire. His resolve is shattered in the moment "4" is revealed and it's at this point that I felt very shook as the reader, to imagine how Orihime will be saved with our heroes weary and fallen.
I remember being so engrossed in the Espada and all their parallels to the Soul Society, seemingly intentionally done so by Aizen, and the numbered rankings associated to them. I can't really think of another manga/anime that hit quite as hard as Ulquiorra revealing that he's the 4th strongest Espada and he's in an entirely different realm of capability. I love the last arc of Bleach, and can't wait for your opinions on the villians, but in my opinion they can't really hold a candle to the wonder and gravitas that the permeate the ranks of the Espada
13:54 nnoitora always talks big because it reflects his inferiority complex because he always wanna prove something to someone.. like he could face a 1 year old baby who doesn't understand nothing and tell him he is the strongest in the entire bleach universe and kills himself in the process
Ah yes Szayelaporro, the Arrancar who is a complete monster both outside of fighting as the scientist and fighting as the Espada. Same with always eating knowledge or his custom made suborinates it don't matter. Also yeah his relation to his brother is a proper blood and soul connection, how they remember/know that connection post becoming a Hollow when said knowledge is lost normally is way down your reading order in a novel after finishing manga, though given it answers other questions including another Szayel related question that will catch your attention you will want that info when its time (who knows they might animate the really big novel stuff thats relevant). All that additional info, that comes with being Arrancar counter part of Kubos fav mad scientist, may ironically enough make him my 4th fav of Espada antags, 2 of top 3 are Grimmjow and Ulq of course and 3rd spot is spoilers, though 4-6 fav is a fuzzy mess compared to secure top favs and the least liked. Fun to see you live go through what us oldies went through of going mad over "Four? Four! FOUR?!?!" and resulting speculation over which 3 are above Ulq in rankings. Also yeah Bleach as the often most consistently brutal of the big 3 had some of the worst issues with "Hey its a shonen show so it needs to have wide appeal to kids who shouldn't even read the manga in Jump" anime censorship, at least its mostly gone for final arc animation and any changes in it are mostly time related.
I think in general, arancar dont care as much about familial bonds as they do strength. For that matter, soul reapers seem to feel much the same as shown early in the series with Byakuya's indifference to Rukia's execution and standing firm in the "Lawful" side. Their designated roles take priority over most things, though there are exceptions
The scary thing is that Szayelapro wasn't even supposed to take damage from any attack that comes from Uryu's reishi. But he almost died and could barely stand after that attack. This damage was less than 1% of what it could've been.
I love these videos. They really make my day since i love seeing yiu analyse indepth something i followed closesly when i was younger and give me new ways to appreciate it Oh yeah the only anime onoy arc that really is must watch honestly is zanpakuto one since it had kubo's involvment and sets up quite a few things for future
So one thing to note about the Espada, and this isn’t really a spoiler as it’s not mentioned very explicitly, but I’ll only use characters you’ve learned about enough as examples of this, but the Espada all represent an aspect of death. Grimmjow represent’s destruction. Ulquiorra represents Nihilism. The aspect of death ties into their personality, or in a handful of cases their abilities. Obviously Grimmjow is battle lusted and destroys a lot. Ulquiorra is indifferent to everything.
kubo loves to put symbology on every thing, the kanji he use to write is important to know the pronunciation (all of them) and the meaning. The number 4 is the number of the death and bad omen in japonese culture, the meaning is more than just the ranking. I love Bleach
Love these reactions/reviews so much. Just wanna ask, when you read the Manga, do you read the colored versions or the B&W version? Because I'd argue Kubo is one of those rare Mangaka's who's use of contrast is so good, his manga actually looks better in black and white. Especially as he goes forward from this point on. As the name Bleach implies, there's a lot of Black and White creativity that comes into play in adding subtext. If you look back to when Ichigo fought Yammy way back, theres this amazing page where Hollow Ichigo starts to override Ichigo, and Ichigo's mental state is depicted as being covered up in darkness. Chapter 193
So you probably miss it, but Grimmjow call the guys with him, his "Fraccion" are basically his subordinates (Btw it means division usually, but it can be used from what im seeing the diccionary of the real spanish academy... But no one uses that way, so that explains as someone who speaks spanish as my native language why i never understood why he was using a word that means division for this, because he gave it a use that no one uses now days).
Your numbers were a bit off, yeah, but not too bad. I think everyone expects Ulquiorra to be higher up than he is. Your vids take me back to those good old days when everyone was trying to figure out their numbers. Brilliant.
I love your videos bro, but I was just wondering will you read the two (main) light novels; Can't Fear Your Own Word, and Spirits Are Forever With You?
In east asia 4 is consider the unlucky number and the symbol of death So ulquiorra being 4 makes perfect sense especially if you know what he symbolises
Man I already want to see your opinion on who is number one when it gets revealed, and the final showdown between ichigo and ulquiorra is really important for ichigo as a character, can't wait.
6:00 A bit of a spoiler to their backstory, but not really major. They're brothers because they are the result of a more powerful Hollow, Cien Granz, splitting in two.
To this day, people still speculate as to what the Espada's numbers actually represent. Because it's a very real possibility that Aizen lied about their numbers representing their power ranking.
He's not the only one with a non-visible hollow hole. It's strange that hollow holes seem to have a default position of sorts, but there are at least three noteworthy hollows with non-standard positions and while none of them have anything in common, if we consider their respective 'aspects' to be based on their experiences as pluses (those who were pluses at one point, obviously) and we combine that with their personalities, those positions make sense and become a vague, almost ironic commonality between them.
honestly, i find more terrifying that he turns living creatures into orbs of medicine. it hits me more as psychological horror. having your form taken away. being twisted and turn into something you weren't meant to be. plus it makes him seem like he cares even less about them. rather then eating them as living creatures, they really are shown to be nothing more then ''things'' to him. things he can defile and warp in whatever way he wants, whenever he wants. so knowing that in the manga he just eats them like he is an animal... i don't know... to me that kinda takes away a lot of the fear factor. but hey, everyone has different views on what's scary
So the interesting thing about Ulquiorra, he is more powerful because of where Ichigo fights him. Hollows and Arrancar are more powerful in Hueco Muendo.
are u going to read lightnovels? if yes u should read SAFW(Spirits are forever with you) before FullBringer Arc and CFYOW(Can't Fear Your Own World) after The last Manga arc( the CFYOW Novel is considered the "real" final arc) i think they are cannon(CFYOW Is cannon for sure)

How hard my boi drives home what being Number 4 means to Ichigo."Amongst the Espada, my strength is ranked, 4th"
your edits r fire nice vid
There can be no one more evil and psycho than my favourite character mayuri kurotsuchi😅
Ulquiorra: " brother I'm barely above average"
So you probably miss it, but Grimmjow call the guys with him, his "Fraccion" are basically his subordinates (Btw it means division usually, but it can be used from what im seeing the diccionary of the real spanish academy... But no one uses that way, so that explains as someone who speaks spanish as my native language why i never understood why he was using a word that means division for this, because he gave it a use that no one uses now days).
Like I said in your espada ranking video you do nail at least one of the numbers
You would probably like to know about the Bleach novel, and a little more information there about Szayelaporro and his brother
In east asia
4 is consider the unlucky number and the symbol of death
So ulquiorra being 4 makes perfect sense especially if you know what he symbolises
Man I already want to see your opinion on who is number one when it gets revealed, and the final showdown between ichigo and ulquiorra is really important for ichigo as a character, can't wait.
This going to good can’t wait for his reaction on you what with Ulquiorra
6:00 A bit of a spoiler to their backstory, but not really major.
They're brothers because they are the result of a more powerful Hollow, Cien Granz, splitting in two.
You sounded like Uzi at the beginning of 444+222 😂😂
4:48
just a quick reminder that no one in the bleach universe is more disturbing and terrifying than your boi Mayuri
Like the souls in soul society
Not all hollows are human souls
Some are naturally born as hollows
To this day, people still speculate as to what the Espada's numbers actually represent. Because it's a very real possibility that Aizen lied about their numbers representing their power ranking.
To let you know Szayel and Ilfort were twin brothers in life and then they died and become hollows at the same time.
will you make a video about who do you think the top 3 now is?
Uhhhh, for real, it would be perfect !!!
Yeah Szayel was HEAVILY censored
Trivia time - if you're wondering at all where Szayelaporro's hollow hole is - it was stated in a Character Book that his hole is on his junk.
Yeah...
Hollows and Arrancar are more powerful in Hueco Muendo.
are u going to read lightnovels? if yes u should read SAFW(Spirits are forever with you) before FullBringer Arc and CFYOW(Can't Fear Your Own World) after The last Manga arc( the CFYOW Novel is considered the "real" final arc) i think they are cannon(CFYOW Is cannon for sure)
and CFYOW IS SO GOOD
I think it was said that ulqiorra was actually the strongest espada and was ranked low to discourage ichigo
Szayel is a legend
Mr. Agamotto youtuber, I will recommend you to watch anime version of the latest Bleach arc 'Thousand Year Blood War' Arc. There are some interesting additions Tite Kubo have made which are not present in manga. Because he felt rushed during the manga of this arc. You are definitely gonna fall in love with the animation of this arc.
the top 3 espada have super cool powers and are my favorite (even over ulquiorra)
Grimmjoe fractions will be explained in the future, mini spoiler: its a fun chapter about our Tony Manero.
wait... I just found out you started this 2 years ago.. BOI IF YOU DONT GET TO TYBW BEFORE THE PART 2 ANIME I WILL BE SAD. I want to see your reactions already!
Now im really interested in a second ranking 😂
i love these videos man
It’s actually debatable if the lower ranking espada are literally the strongest
