I keep seeing all these top 10 lists, and unfortunately it seems like all the larger sets take up the list, and I would love to see a list with the sets under $100! Great video nonetheless!
I think the problem with that is when considering best sets of the year, with a few exceptions like the Black Panther bust and huge Hulkbuster, $100+ sets typically are the best sets.
Yep, this list was pretty much what I expected - and I'm not knocking Bricksie. Bowser is in my Top 5 for the year though, since he lived on my kitchen table for WEEKS before I had to move him. I love big sets though, so I built most of them, and they were all enjoyable, but only the ones that I truly love looking at will be staying built. The rest will get disassembled and boxed back up. If you said I needed to pick a Top 5 $150 or less, I'd definitely put the Porsche 911, the Galaxy Explorer, Speed Champions Lambo Countach, the Ninjago Ninja Ultra Combo Mech, and The Pickup Truck.
Lion’s Knight Castle Optimus Prime Starry Night Bonsai Tree Daily Bugle Loop Coaster Eiffel Tower UCS Camaro Z28 Jazz Quartet Technic Ferrari What a year!!
For now, my favorite set is the Camaro Z/28. It was my first Lego set after more than 30-40 years 🙂 Now I am a little bit hooked and recently I also bought the Ford Mustang and with Christmas, I got the Porsche 911 Targa/Turbo, which I want to build as the Porsche 911 Targa Turbo, from the Rebrickable site. I am just waiting for the correct part numbers for the extra parts that are needed. Looking forward to see what you will do in 2023 🙂
I grew up with the castle sets and was debating getting the Lion Knights Castel and the 3-1 Castle. With all the positive feedback from this video and the comments, I think I might have to get them.
Well Glad to see the castle win, It got me to buy LEGO again after 25 years! None of the other sets they made would have done that. They superbly executed the classic vibe with modern build and elevated the theme to include a mix of fortress and city. As a stand alone piece in terms of scale, beauty, play value, theme appeal, diversity of fun for all ages and sexes, I think it is LEGO's best offering ever. The only down side, is there is not much to go with it (since the blacksmith is out of scale) and the forest hideout is a GWP, and its been like 8 months now and no news or anything. I hope it does not take 10 years to get a decent line going as people could start to lose interest or all their sales will be from bricks and pieces.
@@jacobe1942 so true I only recently started back with Lego but seeing the 3 in 1 castle lion knights castle and blacksmith house I'm had to get them brings me back to my very first Lego set tho not castle themed I still have today and it's the westerm big fort from the 90s and was so cool
@@brandonhiggs88 The lions knight castle got me to buy LEGO again after 25 years.... I am pretty shocked at the price of LEGO these days. Its changed a lot from a toy to collectors thing and more model based. I think this is their greatest set though
I wish you had focused on top 10s for reasons such as most economical, value for $. Seeing sets like The Lighthouse make the top 10 despite the near criminal pricing from Lego, is a bummer. Good video though, nice selection of sets for the year. I think Starry Night or the Mighty Bowser might take the top spot for me.
Almost finished building the Lion Knight's Castle, every brick placed made me smile,it truly is epic!! Great choice for Number 1 spot I totally agree 100%

And I was also going to get the lighthouse but instead I picked out the assembly square because I thought that was a better option because I don’t have my ocean integrated into my city yet and the assembly square looks a lot better in my opinion
And also I have the daily bugle and the pet shop which can connect to modular buildings but I don’t count them as modular buildings so the assembly square is my first ever modular building
I was also planning on getting the lion night castle but I don’t have anywhere in my city where it would make sense anyways I’m gonna get back to building my Loop coaster
Awesome video. My favorite set of 2022 has to be the DeLorean, which is honestly sad since I still have yet to build it. Just such a backlog to do and needing to stick to my budget for next year has me pretty much only planning to get only 2 other sets on top of the modular those being the sanctum sanatorium and Santa's visit so I can have part of the city done and my winter village done at some point with Santa's visit being the final part of those plans.

@Bricksie I just finished building the Eiffel Tower and just before that the titanic my dream is to be like you one day but with the biggest lego city ever so it can fit stuff like the titanic into it after I finished Eiffel Tower I said hay they should make a giant leaning tower of Pisa or a giant Statue of Liberty I think it would be very cool and have a happy new year
I have the Lion Knights castle as number 1 as well. Maybe and only maybe, could the lighthouse or even the loop coaster come up there, but haven't got to build those yet. But really awesome sets in 2022. I'm hoping for a Gringotts next year, Super Mario minifigures and Peaches Castle. That would be incredible!
i might be a little bias but the optimus prime has to be my favorite set of 2022 because of how accurate it is, it can TRANSFORM and has many details and cool accessories
Great list! I like how you take the time to explain your reasons for placing a set at a certain spot in the list. My personal favourite build of this year would probably be the lighthouse. I had a lot of fun building it - like you said, it keeps on surprising - and it looks so beautiful. I have yet to build the Lion Knight's castle, really looking forward to that.
Sorry Bricksie but I have to agree with some of the comments here about this list being far too many large and expensive sets. It would be good to have a list of lower priced sets because I always find the speed champions to be great little builds for not a lot of money. Also nothing to do with you but I think 2022 was the first year when people really did fire off about some ill thought out sets like the Harry Potter train, Hulk buster and Black Panther. I hope Lego learn from this?.
I could agree with all of your picks save 1 the lions knights castle while looking great the price point definitely is too high which hurts it in my opinion as yeah you get 4500 pieces for 400 however you could purchase 4 3 in 1 castles and get 1500 more pieces and build a much larger castle
the 3 in 1 is cool, but also not taking into account the animals, horses and extra minis that would be very repetitive in the 3in1 build. 4 stipe man shirt guys would not add much to it, The value is there in terms of play features and beauty.
My top set has to be the Optimus. The Castle is just too expensive for regular fans of Lego. So far, I have only seen RUclipsrs get it for the most part.
VERY cool list Jordan😇 For me the best set in 2022 is Luke Skywalkers landspeeder UCS set👏👏👏👏 I like to see it everyday, with, all the many other Lego Star Wars sets i own💥💥
The double loop roller coaster is basically everything i’ve ever wanted, but it should be a full loop. I would have much more fun if the track was a complete loop

Should see Duckbricks reviews, he does top 10 under $50 and top ten $50-100
Yep, this list was pretty much what I expected - and I'm not knocking Bricksie. Bowser is in my Top 5 for the year though, since he lived on my kitchen table for WEEKS before I had to move him. My favourite set imo is probably the razor crest, the building process is very fun
Getting it in February!
How long did it take you to build ?
Awesome video! My fave was the lighthouse for sure!
I got the Galaxy Explorer at Walmart for $50. I was so excited.
Love seeing castle as the number one pick. That set seems to have no faults n is amazing for the price point. Keep it up bricksie

In my opinion, the lighthouse is my favorite. Just got it for Christmas. Hoping to start building it soon!
Good top 10 !! and Happy New Year again !!
awesome video jordan the list you made is amazing they are all great lego sets
My favorite was Starry Night.
Too many stairs for me - if you know, you know.
My favourite set this year by far was lion knights castle. And with the 3-1 castle I hope we get more in 2023

3:54 Where did the modern blue mustang come from? Looks great.
I love the newest Lego sets, the prices are such far too expensive and unrealistic for many people especially for some plastic bricks..
I was actually building the loop roller coaster while watching this video 😂
And I finished the galaxy explorer last week

Just a thought, but the lion knights castle would look great if double up and display in it’s open form!!!! 😅
Yeah
Nothing from starwars (legos worst theme) could ever make a top 10 list in my opinion
My favorite set is the loop coaster I love the design
The 007 speed champions was my first build in years and I’m obsessed now. So much fun can’t wait to build more with my wife
This should be a top 10 of the best expensive sets of 2022…
Great list ! Happy New year !
Walmart had the Galaxy Explorer for $50 at one point.
Great set
Amazing tribute to the Original.
Incredible deal
What happened to Darth Vader helmet set, where is his head 💀💀💀
It's built into the mega fig Darth Vader I'm pretty sure
Scroll down a little bit in the video session (two weeks ago) and find out more about Darth Vader mega figure. Reblickable. 😉
Gone, reduced to atoms
Oh right I forgot 😂😂 but I thought he would get a new set to do it
Awesome video. My favorite set of 2022 has to be the DeLorean, which is honestly sad since I still have yet to build it. I was thinking that you should make a top 10 star wars sets video because you are always mixing some sets together
Now I'm reconsidering buying that castle. Actually I'm waiting, naively, for it to drop in price, just like the 3-in-1 castle dropped in price.

I see on the shelf by your back to the future set the sports almanac. That didn’t come with the set did it?
Great video and awesome top 10 lego sets :)
Bro the light house is so awesome
My absolute favorite Legoset is the Treetop House!
hey question whats the set left of the loop coaster
This feels more like the Top 10 sets to make Lego the most money in 2022.
The city of lanterns was the set of 2022 in my opinion

I loved that Galaxy explorer set, it had so many unique building techniques I have never seen before.
I just finished the eiffel tower and the white house architecture. Both great sets. Expensive, yes, but fun to build. Next up is the lighthouse.
I agree with the top pick since I am a fanatical Lego Castle Fan. Both current and classic.
Hey bricksie thanks for your time . Happy new year to you and your family. Love from Australia 🇦🇺
What’s that blue mustang set next to the 1967 mustang
Rebrickable model
Lighthouse would be number 1 if it wasn’t for that price point
Wow these sets are really cool

1989 Batmobile was the best GWP hands down.

Honestly, I found the Eiffel Tower more enjoyable to build than the Colosseum
Hello - it is a fantastic lego collection you have. Just wondering how you Can afford it and the time, as you have family with twins😊
