hey guys, i mean the first time i heard the song it was on headphones without watching the video. I was referring purely and exclusively to this part 1:16 to 1:30. and I was disappointed to see that he did not do it in all the shots, only the last two. I don't know if Vinnie did it, that's why I found this channel, because many times I thought "how the hell does this guy do that"
I also think it has a little more Reverb than the rest of the song, effect put into the mix

Brings me back to Joe's Garage in Ft. Worth watching Pantera right before they were signed. At the time they were playing all of the Cowboys From Hell material in a tiny club. You knew you were watching a band that was soon to get big. The energy even in the small clubs was insane!!

What I love about Vinnie Pauls music is he always made sure he played "Just" the right thing, and every note has a reason....... All of his playing makes a statment and shows that power and grove can easily seperate the men from the boys. His drumming became an extension of his personallity and you can hear "him" in all his playing, A true Musician.

Ya ever heard someone yell out “freebird” at a concert, yea, well, I’m gonna be that guy by asking if you could do Hot for teacher by Van Halen. That classic fucking intro that sounds like a fine tuned Harley. So badass.....

RIGHT away I was UTTERLY stoked because I've wondered for AGES how Vinnie seemed to play every tom and double bass at the same time and BAM, there it is on display. That HI HAT just sounds like a KNIFE, cutting through the mix like a razor, but that tom work is just BOMBASTIC and when it's time to slap that snare like it's a bastard that owes you money, Delta just SMACKS the DOGSHIT out of it XD I think Delta is scrooge mcduck with how hard they hit that snare. And THEN! AND THEN! That double bass work inbetwixt all of that? GET. THE. FUCK. out of here. Just CANNON fire.

Drums can make a mundane riff (not Dime's) kick ass. All the different things that Vinny did is what made the songs so interesting instead of boom pow boom pow.
As I've played drums I sure can appreciate all the subtleties, grooves, nuances, etc. one can achieve with just snare/bass drum/hhat... but I've always had a hard on for toms and Delta's sound so good

This is my fav song from Pantera's "Cowboys From Hell", just edging out *The Art of Shredding.* It's so concise, no wasted time to regroup... just goes 100% from beginning to end. This transition (1:12) of tempo gives me goosebumps 'till this day!
