I couldn't help tearing 😢 watching your story, I wish I had an Awesome father like yours when I was growing up. Things would have turned out better for me in life❤
I am glad this came up in my YT feed. Great video. My first car when I was 16 was a 64 Baja Bug. I went thru 3 engines and 4 transmissions in that thing. It went everywhere. Watching the video I kept waiting for the build to be done and a test drive, not knowing if there was a next video, finished the video and then found the next one. Cool and great job!!!
Is this out by Silver Saddle in Cal City? I'm from the Mojave desert, and that place looks super familiar, i have been in Arkansas since 91. Man, I miss the dessert. We used to have the biggest vw junkyard in all of Kern County in North Edwards. I still work on VW and have several myself. So cool I'll be subbing too your channel, my kind of people.
Putting glass in makes me break out in a cold sweat, I had a split window broke two on one side found out the glass was being cut to big so was forcing it with ro heavy a hand doh.
Yeah I have done a lot of that in the past. I use paracord now instead of rope and make sure you use plenty of soapy water on the rope and the seal against the body. Just light pressure and let the rope pull it in.
How’s the radiator been holding up and working mounted like that? I just started chopping up a bug to do something similar and would like to keep it out of the cab. Thanks!
We had a backup plan if in the event that it didn’t cool properly and would put some sort of scoop. But to our surprise the two fans are enough to keep it at 190 and 200 under load.
Awesome video and story! Great job Cory and family!!

It is close but further south in San Diego county. It’s in the Anza Borrego Desert.
Makes you wonder why the hell they pulled the pushrod? 😂😂😂
