I have great memories watching this show with my late mother. We would live for Thursday nights to watch this together. It was one of the few things we bonded on. We would both laugh out loud at the humor/comedy and there was just something about Michael J. Fox that made it impossible for a person to take their eyes off of him when he was in a scene. They all had great timing and the cast melded together so beautifully. I also liked Michael Gross a lot and wished he was my Dad! Looks like they had a great time making the show, too. Great clean, funny, and heartfelt show. R.I.P. Gary Goldberg.
Mathew Broderick was supposed to be Alex P. Keaton if he hadn't turned down the role. Probably still kicking himself to this day. Then again, he might not have been the great Ferris Buller. So we won on both counts.

I wish Michael J. Fox Can see this. I am a fan. I'm watching your new show about your life. I have attacks. I'm glad you are back Michael Miss You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dan Tee Definitely true. There were some shows that were "hmmm, boring / lame" lol. Good to meet another 80's guy. Next time you're in my neck o' the woods, Ill buy you a pint and we discuss the best shows.
Yes! Family Ties, Cheers, Cosby Show, Moonlighting, Night Court, The Golden Girls, Amen, 227, Hunter, Magnum, PI, Hart to Hart, Murder, She Wrote etc. lots of gems. I'm saying this and I'm a 90s baby lol.
I don't laugh out loud at a lot of comedies. It's not that I don't find them funny I just end up chuckling in my head or give out a little giggle. But this show is one of the handful of comedies that make me laugh out loud and where I love every character including Nick and Skippy. This show along with Married with Children, Fresh Prince, Barney Miller, Seinfeld, The Golden Girls, Everybody Loves Raymond, Martin, The Parkers, Malcolm In The Middle, All in The Family and The Jeffersons all have me laughing out loud in hysterics!
looooooooved the entire cast my whole life- I am two years younger than Tina (Jennifer) but this was Michael J. Fox's show hands down- he made the show what it was- along with excellent writing- there/s never been a character as spot on, attractive, hot and witty as Alex P. Keaton!
Mallory Keaton played by Justine is interesting for the fact that she is the only character to have olive skin tone and long brown/black hair. Miriam, "The sort of daughter no caucasian parents would ever produce... but this Hollywood so it's all good." My take on it, not only do I not have a problem with it. I actually like it! It makes her look 'cool'
Love this!! One of my favorite shows including Maude, full house, Mr Belvedere and the ropers. Pill box, your mean and rude.. Michael J fox has Parkinson's not his fault..
Greatest line ever 'THERE WAS A KANGAROO IN MY LIVING ROOM."
LOL I've always remembered that line still as funny now as back than
I love Michael j fox he's an amazing actor 😋😋😋😋💓💓

Broderick is one of the most amazing actors I have ever watched. So is Fox.
@Mikey Chan You have problems. Seek help.
Also take your trolling and Matthew Broderick hate elsewhere.

They never have , nor ever will, make shows like shows in the 80's. Especially Family Ties. That show was absolutely flawless.
Except THE OFFICE, Parks & Recreation, Man Down...
Dan Tee Those are very good shows, but no where near as good as the ones in the 80s.
Depends....I grew up in the 80s. watched many hours of the tv and a lot of it was dreck

I totally agree! he WAS the show for me, i know that!
I like the parents also - especially the Dad - he was equally great imo
Sounds like Alan Alda of M*A*S*H or Henry Winkler of Happy Days.
Imagine those two shows without them.
Yes, so true!
Completely agree!
Family ties was a great show
Thank you so much for posting this!
MJF is and was brilliant. Sooo funny, a natural.👍

There were times where Alex reminded me of Jack Tripper from Three's Company and that was a good thing
MJF still looks great today
My favorite episode is when actress Michelle Meyrink made a guest appearance. I have such a crush on her!
Love the show. Just finished the show on DVD.

Feel so bad for Michael J fox
Me too, Jennifer.
I feel so bad that MJF has a such a horrible disease like parkinson's
He doesn’t want, need or deserve pity. I’m a physically challenged person myself. We only want acceptance, compassion and understanding.
Love this!! One of my favorite shows including Maude, full house, Mr Belvedere and the ropers.

Freddyfeet98 the 70s and 80s shows we’re great. Family ties, growing pains, who’s the boss, three’s company, the Cosby show
Full house, mr. Belvedere, webster
That automobile line is exactly how I feel about my sister
Michael J. Fox's 1985 interview appears in the beginning of this video.

HaHa HaHa haah aaaahr👋🏻
The sad thing is none of them have aged well, and of course the heartbreaking news of MJF suffering from Parkinson's.
Wow, rude!
didn't age well? where? oh, let me guess... because none of them has the plastic-surgery-mask-like-face now? 😂
