Bought both with two different vendors on Ebay..
Steering wheel from Quality Auto, and the cluster from RVG Parts also known as RVG Performance. Both were flawless and super easy to install. Also when putting the cluster in I added the SLI adapter from Bimmer8 that displays the actual speed limit of whatever road you are on.. Very accurate..

Sorry about the bad luck You've had, but I'm glad you haven't gave up on her.. I have a 2013 535i m sport about to turn 90,000. So far my only major issue was the water pump. Changed out the charge pipe after I went with the MHD tune. I hear you talking about the steering wheel, and this past week I finally went all in and bought a M5 tri stitched wheel with paddle shifters.. Way better, but the best upgrade for my interior was my 6wb cluster that I got pre coded to my vin.. Installed it last night. Videos don't do it justice. I had the same basic cluster you have. So between the steering wheel and the cluster I had to drop 1500 bucks, but to me it makes the car complete..
From the sounds of it You've just about took care of the majority of the n55 issues. Hopefully now that those have been squared away you can spend your money on the upgrades you want..
Anyway good luck in the future

Oh yeah I did forget to say I too had to replace both the valve cover gasket and the oil pan gasket. It never actually leaked but the gaskets had started get moist from the oil about to start the drip. N55's are good strong motors, but it's the small shit that kills the wallet. Maintenance from hell!!

@@fantave bro, they got you. TBH, replacing the valve cover is quite easy. A new valve cover is less than $300 at FCP Euro and you can replace it yourself in less than 45 mins.

If you haven’t already serviced your transmission, it’s time to do so. I’m helping my friend and his ZF trans due to neglect. His torque converter went out. It’s a pain.
