Good question... Honestly Im not sure as I went for an interview with yodel but i deemed it not worth it as puckup was in newton abbot which is a 30/40 minute drive away.... I might give it a go again though just for a few weeks to see what it's like
Real ignorant question here, are you paid fuel or is that to your cost? What about your car insurance, doesn't that not go up a lot when you notify them that you're using your car to deliver stuff?
Definitely no ignorant questions... Good questions. In fact I have to cover the cost of the fuel... They say that they cover insurance, however there are definite caveats to it... Also I already have my own delivery insurance so was no good for me anyway
There ain't no way a car courier working out of my depot could get anywhere near that based on the fees that they are paying... Possibly in a sprinter working for the contractor doing three or four rounds... My point is when I was recruited they were specifically trying to recruit people like me in small cars saying I will earn good money around what I'm already doing and it basically isn't true
To put some perspective on it the depot is only open for collection one and a quarter hours for collection so you can only collect once... If I got lucky and got nothing bulky I could maybe fit a maximum of 100 parcels possibly 120 at a real squeeze so running the numbers based on a 6 day week... 120 x 0.59= £70.80 per day X 6 days = £424.80 a week £1,840.80 per month before expenses That in my area of Devon being fairly rural would take roughly 5/6 hours a day not including travel time to the pick up or back home is £14.16 per hour on a quick day See what im getting at is for a car the maths just doesn't add up even on a quick day on a fixed route
Went in for my training with Evri, didn’t make it far, seen how bad it was with people loading vehicles, turned around and went home
Yeah, the sorting center is a disaster sometimes
Thanks for the update
No problem 👍
Great information thank you 😊
Glad it was helpful!
How would you compare yodel to evri

@@gigeconomyunpacked For someone who wants to earn £100 in a 4-6 hour period with Evri how many parcels should they be roughly delivering?
I think i replied to this on the other post but let me know if not
@@gigeconomyunpacked Can Evri or any delivery driving courier app get rid of drivers for petty reasons like agency workers?

And that's obviously based on the very maximum I could fit in with no carry forwards and based on a day with no delays
I work for Evri as a contractor. Self employed. I clear £2500 working part-time-ish 5/6 hour days.
I certainly know people who do two rounds that clear £3/4 grand a month.
