The vocalists voices come straight out of the 1930's! They are astonishing, as are the entire band. I hope to see them perform in person one day. Perfection!

All I have to say is....WOW!!!!! Times a million..
The control! The control of that trumpet! That trombone! Omg that beautiful clarinet! There is so much control not to overpower the other, even in a semi-solo. The voice melds seamlessly with each instrument, and somehow, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, even though each part is bold and comforting at the same time. Together, it's perfection. It's that control.
I can never get enough of this band.

I've said it before. Erika's voice being in the mezzo register: she sounds exactly like an old record, when you hear her. It fits soooo perfectly. Tuba Skinny always a delight!

Shaye is one of the best coronet players I have ever heard and I have been in jazz bands for 30 plus years.

Tuba Skinny is so consistently excellent that it seems foolish to point to a particular performance as one of the best. Guess what? This is one of their best.

Erika's sound is so perfect and so period. She is so black and bluesy. She mixes so many elements from the greats; Bessie Smith, Esther Phillips, Big Mama Thornton, Memphis Minnie, and yes, even Billie Holiday.

Look for Erika's recent solo work. Dropped an album since the pandemic and it's great. Country and Western stylings-different to this but awesome...beautiful.

They take me back in time to the days I spent walking down Bourbon Street as a young man and hearikng the blues coming out of each open door of all the "jute joints". Perfect New Orleans sounds, killer vocal.

Love love love this band. For a start the women are beautiful performers, dancing/ playing is great and the band as a whole is surely preserving the tradition. Hoping they get to England soon ( though I confess we don't have a lot to offer). Give us a shout

I've been enjoying the music of these wonderful musicians for a very-very long time now...I'll never forget how blown away I was when Shaye Cohn put her trumpet down for a moment and started playing the piano...(and just for the record, she is also masterful on the piano)....I mean....really, .....really, you're even awesome on the piano as well...my word, I love this very down to earth group. Every one in this group does what they do very-very well. I can't ask for anything else in a first class musical ensemble. As usual, great job...all of you. Thank you for sharing your gift with You Tube, so old geezers like me can watch first class music before going to bed. Be well, all of you.

Erikas voice is the best to hear in this troubled world. It helps to restore your cognitive minds caused by the noises of sound that they define as music. Her voice and the band is the real deal of our time.
