@ Both the removals and relocations are great. Sometimes a hive just needs to get gone and other times, with the right hive you can relocate them. Relocates have the benefit of showing people how wasps/hornets evolve over the season. Like watching "Baldies" grow a nest from a baseball size to a basketball and the way they interact with the environment over the months. The removals show us what happens when wasps/hornets invade our space and they have become too unruly and the only option is to remove them. Then we get to see how big the nest was, how it was built, how they feed their young and the differences between queens, drones and workers. It's all awesome! I really think you could bring all this to bees. They aren't really all that different and you might gets some sweet honey too!

Nawwww....15ºF isn't too cold LOL....I live way up north here in Edmonton Alberta and that temp is just another day in the 'hood LOL.. Today for instance we're at a "balmy" (LOL) -20ºC (-4ºF) so that is getting a tad chilly. Born and raised in this so I'm somewhat used to it. Excellent video as usual and yeah...loved how the peahens were scooping the wasps and larvae etc up.
Hmm, I just came up with an idea about your shop vac. Ever thought of getting a second running shop-vac with both hose-ends connected to a custom 3D-printed attachment? I figured this would mean wider range and double the storage for the hornets and the nest to settle in after they're sucked in.
I imagine the guys who just spray and leave get recalled a lot more often than the Hornet King. He may take a bit longer but he does the job effectively and efficiently, even making sure the larvae don’t go to waste.
That's 100% true! I rarely get call backs but I am VERY OFTEN called to remove nests that were "treated" several times by general pest techs. Best part for sure is that the nests don't go to waste! 😁
Seems I've become rather hooked on these nest removals even though I hate the "flying stingers" (the same way most people hate snakes and spiders, which don't bother me in the least... Go figure! lol). Thanks for the ID help from one of your old vids, too, for I found a western yellowjacket queen in my North Dakota apartment, apparently wintering on the inside windowsill. She was chilled and slow but made for a good macro image in the end. Now it's negative 11F here, so I'm all for canceling winter due to lack of interest! lol :) As for the content, it continues to be interesting. If you do get into relocations, that would be equally interesting, as well. I may have a bit of a phobia when working around these or doing my photography but they still fascinate me all the same.
Thank you for that insight! I appreciate your support and it's great knowing you find my content interesting! I have dozens of relocation videos, should you be interested to see how I relocate the different species I deal with!
My favorite part of your content is when you educate us about the different types of wasps and hornets and their living conditions. Of course, showing your own menagerie is always a bonus! Today is the first time I remember hearing you using the term ‘Yellowjacket’. I may have missed it in today’s vid, but I don’t recall hearing you call these critters anything but that. Are these different than the other types of wasps/hornets you do removals of? Edit: I have been away from YT for some while, dealing with a family matter, but I see you’ve got quite a few recent vids with the name ‘Yellowjacket’ in the titles. I’ll go check those out and get my education about eastern Yellowjackets! I live in Houston, Texas and we have LOTS of Yellowjackets in the warm months (which is most of the year, unfortunately). Happy New Year’s and give your birdieeeesssss some love 💕 from me.
Those German Yellowjackets Can Be Also Found In Other Countries Like Australia 🇦🇺 New Zealand 🇳🇿 Argentina 🇦🇷 Chile 🇨🇱 South Africa 🇿🇦 And Every Where In The Northern And Southern Hemispheres
I'd love to see some in-depth video(s) on how you care for your birdies. Or maybe a day in the life video(s) of when you're not taking nests out for clients. Just some ideas
Love watching this channel for maybe 4 or 5 years. I was wondering, can you freeze the excess larvae in the combs during summer so you can feed them some in the winter? Or would they not be very tasty for the birds?
Honestly I just like the removals and the animals after. It's satisfying and still interesting. That said totally understand your need for creativity. Maybe do like a vlog format where you mix removals with other stuff? Just an idea!
Other than their delightful screeching; peafowl don't scratch and destroy yards like chickens do. I had a Mr. Peacock who ate outta my hand. He'd sit on the porch railing and call me. What fun.

Woah, that was a huge nest! So cool…you def have to get some peahens!❤❤
No I don’t get bored i enjoy watching
Really like watching your videos I like your animals been watching your videos for years good job my name is Jason 😊
Thank you Jason! I'm glad you enjoy the videos and I appreciate your support for so long!
That thumbnail looks so sick dude. Love all the hard work!!
Doris and I would get along well! We both love spinach!
Maybe you could teach her to slow down when she eats them! lol
Bret, you should get peakocks! Your existing birds won't eat adults but apparently they do :)
Ive been thinking the same thing! I would want just lady Peahens though! The boys are noisy!
Yup u do u, ur the man brother ! From sunny Sebring, Fl. 😉
Thank you!
Annnnnnnnnd...I'm jealous! 🥶
How would the birdies get along with the pea hens?? It would be interesting to see.
I love your videos. I didn’t figure you would be out there when it’s 39 outside.
A late friend, who lived to be 95, used to say 'Holy Cats!' Nice video.
Haha I don't even know where I picked that up. I've said that as long as I can remember 😅😆
I'm shocked they're that active despite it being nearly freezing outside.
I absolutely love Winter. I love super cold temps!
Been watching your channel for years 🔥
Thanks for the support!
That is a BIG Yellow Jacket nest for sure + all of the beautiful birds.......l am in my 80's and i HATE THE COLD TO !!!!!!.....Thank you my friend and have happy 2025 for you and yours......
Old F-4 stinky 🦨Shoe🇺🇸
Stinky Steve! Always appreciate your comments Sir! 🫡
I hope you are well, and stay warm!
In the immortal words of that wise philosopher, Red Green: "Alas the Winter of our Discount Tent"...
Haha Red Green! Classic!! 😆
Thank you for all the cool and amazing videos dealing with European hornets German yellow jackets and southern and Eastern yellow jackets
Thank you for the support! I'm glad you enjoy them! Now, don't you think it's time to hatch a peafowl egg?? 😆
I heard a peacock cry out @ 2 AM. I never heard a more eerie shriek.
Hmm, I just came up with an idea about your shop vac. Ever thought of getting a second running shop-vac with both hose-ends connected to a custom 3D-printed attachment? I figured this would mean wider range and double the storage for the hornets and the nest to settle in after they're sucked in.
Before you even said it, I was thinking you needed some of those birdies.
Yeeeessss! I think so too! I just was ladies though, no noisy boys! 😆😅
So cool. We have some huge hornets or wasps that come in every summer and fall . I can’t find a nest it’s only a few far and between. Love your birds!
Thank you! They love you too! 😁
My son and I like when the wasps make that "thunk" sound when being vacuumed 😂
Haha nice! I try to get audio of that sound but it's so hard with the loud vac sound.
Now it's negative 11F here, so I'm all for canceling winter due to lack of interest! lol :)
As for the content, it continues to be interesting.
I hate the winter too! Love from CO.
Haha isn't it just awful!? 🥶😅
Peahens did great cleaning up
They sure did! I'm thinking of getting some to bring with me in removals 😁
Don't you think??
@@HornetKingOfficial Go for it buddy and hope you do more relocations this season
That's kind of what this video was
That peacock is a savage! Hornet didn't stand a chance.
Love watching this channel for maybe 4 or 5 years. I was wondering, can you freeze the excess larvae in the combs during summer so you can feed them some in the winter? Or would they not be very tasty for the birds?
I always love watching the animals! It would be cool to see more... Maybe start your own zoo 😂
What fun.
Ooh, I love peafowl
Beautiful to look at! Obnoxious to hear! Haha! Think I should get some peahens???
@@HornetKingOfficial I'm a bird person, so I will never discourage a bird person from getting more :D
Yo I finally got here quickly I love your vids man
Hey Thanks man! I appreciate the support! That really helps the channel and the video!
How are you folks making out down there!?
Southern yellow jackets are my favs
I dont think I will come out of retirement to help you, but thanks for the great videos
Time for another great video with your farm animals eating so good once again!
Thank you! Do you think I should add Peahens to the menagerie!? lol
@@HornetKingOfficial110% but maybe make the pen way bigger to spoil them and make a video out of it?
That’s so cool! The birds help
My best friends mom is all about bees so this is cool
WOW That's a lot of Bee's! Give them a space they will fill it up! Most will watch whatever you decide to do..
That's for sure! They don't like open concept in their spaces! Hahaha!!
Plural words are not made by adding 's to the end, and those are NOT bees.
Yes, do my stuff of information. Keep doing this great work.
Thank you so much! I hope you like the new stuff too!
Birds are a top chew.😮
I just love winter because it is the only time in a year i have no allergies.. once they start to blossom, i'm caput😅
