Lionel Layout Tour 2021

- This is the (almost) finished version of my 2020-2021 layout project. It’s approximately 12x12, all Fastrack and TMCC control. I’m hopeful to upgrade to Legacy control as soon as the 990’s are back in stock. Thank you for viewing and I would appreciate any questions or comments.
Layout looks nice. It’s got that happy place feel.

Looks very good, I can tell you studied other people's layouts and knew what looks good and what does not look good. The mountains, grass, trees, and details are evenly spread with good planning and common sense. I have 2 Art degrees, 30 years of doing this, and my original train from the 1950s. That qualifies me as a higher-grade Train nut. You did good.

The layout is beautiful absolutely outstanding. You put a lot of thought, time and creativity into each section displayed on Camara. The grass, trees mountains, figures all balance and blend well . Nothing is overdone and its colorful. I'm working on a 6 × 12 or 6 × 13 O gauge. Lionel, MTH and Williams Diesels The hard part is trying to figure out how many building's are needed. Without overdoing it .This will give me some ideas. Thank you for sharing.
Nice layout. If u r ever in Las Vegas bring your UP844. YOU can run it on the club layout that's in a REAL RAILROAD CAR 5X32 FT. And then for a few dollars YOU can be the engineer on the REAL UP 844 GP that u have a model of. We even let u blow the whistle!

I despise tower talk like three days people thought a C.B. radio was something. Modeling, running trains without the garbage is great and your layout very nice.
Joshua Cowan would be very pleased to see what influence he had on this hobby so many years ago,along with Ellison,Armstrong,John Allen to name a few.How many enjoy this hobby whose first train ran around the tree on Christmas morning??

I was admiring the simple but effective looking ballast to your fastrack. How did you ballast your fastrack?
I coated the side of each track piece with Elmer’s glue. The I sprinkled the ballast (top down) on the section. Then filed the remaining area with dry ballast. I secured just like normal ballasting method, sprayed the area with isopropyl alcohol and then used a mixture of 1/3 Elmer’s and water to hold it in place.

Wish I had the will power to have a nice scenery layout like yours, ie, black top roads, road bed, grasses. Maybe one day I will.

Loved the layout, trains, scenery, and video. I don't want to come off as critical, but the train ride-view didn't make sense to me with the color scheme and somewhat 'grainy' footage. Did you intend for it to appear like this? I'm just curious. Other than that, I could watch videos like this all day. Good job on your layout. I'm green with envy (I don't have a layout, but I love model railroading)!
Excellent detail on your layout! The person below commenting on the Amtrak over hang, obviously doesn't have a Big Boy on their roster. I have just finishing laying my layout track and had to allow 60mm clearance of the outside of all my curves and for another 300mm along the straights to allow the Big Boy to clear things. That's the width of the sleepers again. Anyway nice layout - well done!

I love the green, red, and silver steamer and tender. What brand and model is it? It has great sound and smoke that is synchronized. I want one. with the colors it would be a nice christmas train.

A very unique locomotive gp 30 I think it is. That was the exact same engine that was the reason or cause for FEF 844 to be renumbered to 8444 while the diesel was on UP’s active roster.
