This band is incredible and really overlooked, every album has its own sound and have amazing songs, especially knowing that they started at the age of 14 and got worldwide success at the age of 16. Great, insanely creative band that people should check out
Great video by the way
I still listen to the album this is from when I'm feeling 90s nostalgic. Sweet stuff.
Same
Same 🖤
Me too in 2024
Great band, frickin awesome band! These guys started off as a school band & won awards big time, downunder! (Australia)
I've had a crush on the singer when I was a young gal, actually I still do!
Same here! He's been always a gorgeous man
Man I haven’t heard this in years lol I’m 53 in 2020 and I loved the grunge
Omg I loooooved Silverchair! They were one of my favorite bands when I was a teenager. So good seeing old school Silverchair. I loved Daniel Johns voice
They’ve been my favorite band since I was 11 years old I’m 36 now, their bassist Chris Joannoi influenced me to start playing the bass myself when I was in high school I had an alternative and hardcore punk band.
please react to “freak” live at luna park. it’s is by the same band and they are also very young in the video i requested. it is one of their best songs and they sound amazing. great reaction !!

Uploaded hopefully you can view it..
The whole frogstomp album up to suicidal dream is by far the best music of all time
Legend band, thanks for reacting.
Boys from Newcastle , surf town 2 hrs north of Sydney cbd Australia
Oh hey, just noticed you put this up. Thanks for reacting to my request.
I'd actually never seen this performance before, good pick.
@@DylanSterling it's the MuchMusic intimate and interactive performance from 1997. Just in case you want to look it up. It was the very first concert I had in my, what would become enormous, silverchair-video collection. Lol
Dave Grohl was in his 20s in Nirvana which ended in 1994 when Kurt Cobain died. He’s 10 years older than Daniel Johns so he would have been 25 in 1994. Daniel Johns wrote this song when he was 13.
They're from my hometown
Same
This was February 1997. All the members were 17 at the time. I watched this when it played live 2/4/97 the day after their 2nd album Freakshow was released.
This is from an 'Intimate & Interactive' special on MuchMusic.... from Canada!
Actually it was the same day it was released, at least in North America
I was born in February 97 and I love this band (I’m Australian)
Silverchair is like one of those bands that are better live if you catch my drift....🤘🏼🤘🏼🎸🎸
Love the ol SKOOL !
For teenagers, or even adults, this is executed w precision and heart.
To clarify, they were practically kids when this came out. Amazing
A shame they never came to fruition but on this album, imho
Per the reaction section. He did not break the guitar. I still follow the members and their current projects. He is still using that guitar from one of the last studio pictures I have seen.
Youre right, he didnt break his green PRS. But the picture youre talking about is a different guitar. Its his black PRS McCarty Standard
Good ol' days.
This gig was in 1997 and all the band members were about 16 or 17 and so was I..😁
Fantastic
Daniel Johns here sounded exactly like Kurt Cobain (NIRVANA) crossed with Alexi Laiho (CHILDREN OF BODOM) in many parts of the harsher vocal sections.
They were 14-15 when they started
Sweet dragon ball shirt, where did you get it?
