      Well Bruins only have $8.6M in cap space (projected) right now. Swayman wants high 8s. The fact that he isn’t accepting 8x8 means his agent is terrible. It’s Swaymans call and if that’s not enough, see you later sorry.

      Sweeney has made drafting mistakes for sure but when it comes to negotiating and putting a great team on the ice that is cap compliant He is one of the best in the league. What he is doing is what most GMS should do but don’t.
      Team Sweeney on this one. Send him packing.

  • @Johnnyhockey-w6i

    They had to trade Ullmark when they did. He was due to update his no trade list on July 1st and if Ottawa was on there, it would limit Sweeney’s options. TSN needs to do their homework.

    • @DB-gr7ch
      @DB-gr7ch 4 месяца назад +1

      But that is a moot point, since its clear they should have signed Ullmark and got rid of the

      @@DB-gr7ch Ullmark is/was already signed. They didn't need to sign him for another year. Obviously, looking back now, you trade away Swayman but who the hell turns down 8x8M. Big insult to Bruins. I would say good luck elsewhere and get the 1st round picks.

    8×4 seems more than reasonable. He's never played more than 42 gms i believe and has never been a starter, but his saves % in the playoffs was 0.920% which is insane. So meet in the middle, get him at 8 for 4 years and then when the contract is up, he can get that big payday and go for the longer term.

    • @Johnnyhockey-w6i
      @Johnnyhockey-w6i 4 месяца назад +1

      Not that easy. He wants long term and he knows the cap is going up. He and his agent are being greedy.

    • @TheLoneDrow22

      @@Johnnyhockey-w6i kinda what I'm getting at. After 4 years the cap will be up quite a bit more, plus he will have a few full seasons under his belt so then he can get the good for life payday and term. But ya I wouldn't expect a player or their agent not to be greedy, unless his name is Crosby.

    • @Johnnyhockey-w6i

      @@TheLoneDrow22 turning down 8 x 8 is rad to me. Swayman wants like high 8s. Like if he’s not careful he will have no contract and sit one year, forgoing any revenue. That would kill his career.

      @@Johnnyhockey-w6i true, but he does have Boston management bent over a barrel with them moving Ullmark without having this already worked out. The Bruins are a decent team, but they definitely are a lot weaker every game without Swayman between the pipes.

      @@TheLoneDrow22 They had to move Ullmark before July 1st since Linus was allowed to revise his no-trade list after that date. Had they waited to trade him and Ullmark put Ottawa on the list, seriously limits Sweeney’s options.

    • @peterpuck0404
      @peterpuck0404 4 месяца назад

      You sir are absolutely correct. Let's stick to the facts. The Bruins "floated out there" $64 million. That is a lie. They never offered $64 million. If the Bruins offered $64 million why not say we offered Swayman $64 million over 8 years. They did not say anything of the sort. So Boston, what did you offer? or did you even offer anything? If you did it would be a written offer, so produce the offer. Boston is smearing this kids future. I doubt Jeremy wants to play for an organization that is not ethical. Let's start here. I say Boston owes Jeremy a public apology.

    Trade him to San Jose for some used water bottles and a draft pick. Thornton whined...gone. Seguin whined...gone. swayman whined....goodbye. this team has been a perennial playoff participant because the first expectation of any bruin is team first. You get paid well enough to live like a king.....greed in the world of the spoked B ends with a plane ride to a perennial loosing team. So Swayman, a great beginning to your career doesn't warrant getting paid like your already in the hall of fame. The team will be fine without you and instead of listening to your greedy agent listen to your head. Your part of a great historic team and you think you deserve to have your ass kissed ? In 3 years your career will consist of playing in Europe for ? But you'll own it. So good luck working at a car dealership when your 40.

    But until then, he's a whiny, unprofessional poseur who should shut up and play good hockey long enough to earn the financial reward he thinks he's already due, despite having achieved nothing.

And he can’t draft worth beans but is still good at icing an unbelievably competitive team. There’s a lot of things I don’t like about them, but there’s no way we’ll get a better gm.
