It is a mountain village and is located on the border of Greece - northern Macedonia above Lake Prespa at an altitude of 1040 meters Agios Germanos was the capital of the Prespa region The name of the village is due to the homonymous church of the 10th century and was preserved throughout the Ottoman period. Next to the old church has been built the new church of Agios Germanos The existence of the village is probable from the beginning of the 10th century when the homonymous church was built The ornaments of the village are the old church of Agios Germanos with the wonderful frescoes inside the church the new church and the frescoes also of the church of Agios Athanasios

What a beautiful village to visit~ I’ve always dream of living in the mountains. Thats a lovely mountain to village to live. The locals must be so happy and so lucky to have it as their hometown! It looks so peaceful there. The old church is so amazingly beautiful-got to withstand the challenge of time is just so impressive 👏
