I'm really hyped for the CJRB Bellona. I've been keeping an eye for it since it made the trade show rounds earlier this year as an unnamed prototype but just missed out on the prototype sale a week or 2 ago.
So many better alternatives to the Bugout , Especially Considering the Price Point of the Bugout. I bought a Clone just to see if I’d like it but it’s too small for my big Paws.
Complex my good bud, I can’t help but notice, we haven’t gotten a review on the boker mermaid. May I ask… perchance… if you will… can we get reviewsies my good sir?🥺
I’m a subscriber and watch your stuff often…sadly I cannot afford the majority of the beautiful knives you showcase….and that’s OK. I do have a small request though. Would you mind putting up a video showing off BUDGET LARGE blade knives like 3.75” and up? I have 2 MIGURON Velonas after seeing them here, but they didn’t come sharpened very well at all, which was very disappointing. They’re still great knives, but I’d like to see what else is out there that I’m not aware of. Please consider.
The design looks a lot like the Bugout, but it weighs about twice as much as the Mini Bugout. The weight is the main reason I carry the Bugout when I choose to carry it. So far I haven't seen a true replacement for it in that manner.
I never got the issue with weight. I’m 6’5 240 pounds so I doubt I would be able to feel a difference between the two let alone enough to dissuade me from using it. What do you do that a couple ounces is that much of an issue?
@@joelamaro4525 I mean, it's mostly cope to justify the handle material. But I do think people who care about weight to that degree exist, and certain backpacking/climbing/other stuff I can see the appeal. But if we're real, it's 80% cope.
As the homebody said, anything under 3 oz is already unnoticeable if you're a decently sized man. I'd take having the scales that don't squeeze together over an extra oz of weight savings.
I'm looking at getting a new crossbar locking knife but can't decide on witch one I should get. I'm looking the the vostsed raccoon, mini night shade (budget versions) and possibly the top liner version. also the cjrb hectar, kerhsaw heist and miguron moyarl. witch one is the better buy or witch one would just be better over all
You never know about a knife until you put it in hand. Weigh up as much as you can then make a decision that hopefully will make you happy. Since the small knife shop scene has all but disappeared, it's become a guessing game. When ordering a knife, accept the fact it may not be the one. Order from a place you can exchange or get refunded.
My carbon fiber s35vn mini nightshade crossbar lock has by far the most laughable detent in my collection and came butter knife sharp. Just my experience.
I think I’d like this better than the Nova I have. I know I’ve asked this before, but what exactly are guys who would never consider buying a $50 knife doing watching and commenting on this video?
Ozark trails got a better knife than cjrb it's painted D2 steel orange scales it's has a access lock and its $10 and it looks a lot like a bug out but there is differences that set them apart but for $10 you can't beat the price
There is nothing ultra unique about any knife actually! What do most of you guys really do with your knives? If you want to collect and fondle my precious stupid expensive knives with your gloves on, that’s cool! I applaud you! Come on fellas, get a cheap knife get an expensive knife. Use it!
Anything CJRB for me is a hard pass. I own one, and it has been trash compared to my Civivi knives, and especially my Kizer knives. AR-RPM9 trash steel, could not get the blade straight inline no matter what, and the steel was really soft. Clearly not heat treated properly. I will take Civivi, Miguron, Sencut, or even NedFoss over any CJRB.
Their button locks are really hit or miss. Half of them have lots of stick and the blade won't fall shut and half of them are decent. I had an Artisan that had a bunch of issues and I returned it. But their $30 pyrite seems decent for the price to me.
@@prezzz420 Gotta watch out with their plunge locks; a lot of them aren't reliable. I really like that they are pushing button operated compression locks, though.

I actually like the blade shape of this one.
Looks like a really great option for he price. The value that keeps getting brought to market is amazing.
Now this is an attractive offering. I might have to recommend this over the Moyarl because of the deep carry reversible clip.
I love all of my CJRB knives.
Yooooooo........ CJRB now REALLY has my attention. This is the sickest budget knife I've seen yet. This is on my Top 5 to Buy List now.
The new QSP ripley seems like a really good budget bug out option

Higher tension on the springs means more brittle, in my experience, Benchmade OEM springs will last much much longer... Just adding my 2 pennies.
Make it 3.5-3.7 inch blade and better steel and I'm in
This in blue or marbled CF would be fire
I think you were thinking of the Frack for the larger one.
The Prado is in your top15 and on sale on Amazon for 37 dollars…thoughts?
Buy it
@@metal_complex already did!🤠
Looks like a good knife. Thanks
This is a very nice alternative 👍😉
My mouth watered when i saw it. This would be perfect for me honestly.
My Bugout alternative is a Recon 1 💪

@@metal_complex DREAMS DO COME TRUE, how the hell did I miss that😮
MC sir, on the boker topic, have you had a chance to look at the kirke? After a short break in period, I've come to really like mine.

9.1 on the slap

Hogue Deka?
Kershaw Bel Air I think is a good competitor.

Iridium $15 more but…

I strongly suggest the vosteed raccoon. The top liner lock is amazing. Crossbar is as well.

misplaced my bugout and the price is right!

Great review! Check out my unboxing of the Shale Button lock Prototype!
Great EDC
It is a really good looking budget knife. I like the design better than the bugout
Chinese knives, Chinese company. Soon there will be few western knife companies. But at least people will have the very best trinkets
Id rather have it than my Bugout honestly.

@munkyenima lol you're right. He unsubbed a while ago. Usually these types of people aren't self aware. He'll keep doing the same thing.

I don’t understand why these are pushed so hard from YouTubians. They’re horrible knives.
You should look into volsteed if you haven’t already. Solid knives. Great design. 14c blade steels and generally cheaper than civivi

I really like their Pyrite-Alt Reverse Tanto with S90V
It’s a great knife and it’s only $90
