Considering buying one of these today, This is the only issue listed with it. Your video I swear is the best tutorial I have ever watched on RUclips. No cuts, no confusing nonsense, and your workshop is set up exactly like mine with tools all over the place. I can see myself doing this task because of this video. Hahaha, thanks man!
To hold that little square end post in place to keep it from moving, get a long wood screw that uses a SQ2 square bit. Screw it up into a piece of a dowel rod or something, and you've just made yourself a little valve adjustment wrench that you can hold that still while tightening down the locking nut with a box end wrench. Been using the same one that I made for doing valves on my 660 in 2001.

Glad it helped! Adjusting the valves is very easy! And if they are out of adjustment just a bit, it won’t start.

This reminds me of myself working on something. Tools and shit everywhere. Not trying to sound like a dick though, this video helped.
This is funny, but very helpful. Thanks for the video.
Valves adjustment for Yamaha Townmate T80
Intake 0.05 - 0.1 mm
Exhaust 0.075 - 0,125 mm
Is it right?
If the valve lash is off will it cause it not to start because it’s in it getting spark and fuel but will won’t start not even with starter fluid
Yes, if valve also is off, it will not build the compression needed to start.
Yamaha's website says .002-.004 intake .003-.005 exhaust the shouldn't be the same exhaust produces more heat needs more wiggle room for expansion
The Engels 😎 is the the Raptor 50 the same valve specs as the 80?
The Engels 😎 looking in the manual would this specs be called “stem-to-guide” clearance or something else?
@@808JKLT yes
