APP did a lot with bagpipe style gracenoting.
The Alan Parsons Project, one of my all-time favorites. Every album they made is great.
I wish one of these days Dr Mix would deconstruct reconstruct IRobot intro
Alan had a lot of interesting Instrumentals, I was thinking of "Hyper Gamma Spaces" from Pyramid the first piece from App I discovered. But several are great
@@Musiquesaecouter OMW, do you know "Pipeline" from the Ammonia Avenue album? It's divine.
This is a great tune. Doctor Mix and Alan Parsons is a stellar combo.
Brilliant
Think this is bit underrated, it is one of the best melodies ever.
I really never get tired of watching this man having fun with music
I was 17 in 82 when Eye in the Sky came out. I can remember that song being played when the sports scores rolled up the screen. Great album!
Hi Claudio. I’m french with poor english, i follow you for a while now, you’re so talented, but I think I found you à True challenge , one of the most epic song from the late 70’s , the main theme from "midnight express" :the chase
I’ve searched the net for triste song deconstructed, but no one tried, so would you be ’the one’ ? Kind of tribute to Gorgio Moroder....
I was 59
Oh, to be young again!
We were many, there when history in music was made, those were the times when we were young 😉however I feel Alan Parsons Project a bit underrated still, while most were talking about Pink Floyd, forgotting or ignoring is large contribution to their fame from 1973 on Dark side of the Moon.
@@psychopatus37 you are right I didn't remember he made "the chase" yet... I believe, however he made "I feel Love" the Donna Summer hit with Giorgio 🤔
The Hydrasynth is my favorite synth for sound design. It's SO EASY to work with, yet so deep that you can make incredible sounds on it. The polytouch keybed is incredibly expressive. And it's built like a tank. For what you get, I think the Hydrasynth is one of the best values in synthesizers today, while also being one of the most flexible, usable, creative and playable.
I played the Hydrasynth deluxe in a music store. A very impressive machine. The doubled polyphony is a significant advantage over its two smaller brothers. Playing a layer with polyphonic aftertouch was a jaw-dropping experience.
We should never forget that Alan Parsons project were 2 guys and all music were composed (and play for piano parts) by Eric Woolfson. Alan Parsons was involved in recording and technical parts and also sounds creations.
Parsons wrote and played too, along with many guest artists as part of the Project.
It wasn't just two guys. Parsons was producer and engineer, but there were several core musicians that stayed with the band for a long period: David Paton (bass, vocals), Ian Bairnson (lead guitar), Stuart Tosh (drums) - who were all from the group "Pilot" who Parsons had produced, as well as Stuart Elliot (drums) replacing Tosh, and a large roster of vocalists.
I’ve never seen anyone more excited to open a box with a synth in it🎉
I've always loved this track, even before I knew what it was when my parents played it at home. I now have 4 APP albums on vinyl that I play regularly, and it's hard to choose a favourite! The production and musical feelings are just so perfectly put together.
Me likewise - loved it before I knew who/what it was. It really is an iconic piece of music. Not sure how many APP albums I have (mostly on vinyl) but my intro to him was a promotional specially-packaged version of 'Stereotomy' that was labeled as 'not for sale' and which some DJ somewhere had dared to sell (!!). Bought it in about '92, absolutely mint condition, bargain of the year for me at about £5. Somebody will tell me now that they made a million of these promotional versions, but I still think it was a bargain. Not enough people know about APP.
I remember my father playing this song on the keyboards when i just only a curious kid. One of my prefered songs.
I was 10 years old when this song came out and I still jam on it 😂
I seriously love my Hydrasynth. They are so expressive. Great job on the Remix (t)! of a great, great song!
I gig regularly with the Hydrasynth these days, it's perfect for both crafting sounds and live performance - it gets a lot of attention. It's all thanks to your unboxing video and the absolute joy you had for this instrument x
Couldn't agree more!
I love the Alan Parson Project.. It's always in my playlist. Fantastic deconstruction.❤️❤️. And very intresting keyboard the new Hydrasynth👍👊👏👏👏
Great hearing mammagamma once more and seing you guys enjoying recreating it! Alan Parsons is a legend!
I first heard the song on one of the Synthesizer Greatest (1,2,3) tapes from Ed Starink (starinc) back in the 80s. Maybe you could do some more tracks of those series like JMJ etc. I only find out how different the original were at least 10 yrs after listening to those synthesizer greatest tapes. Brings back memories!
Claudio. You are still, after so many years, one of my favourite You Tube creators. Scary talented and fun to watch. I have only one request, please do some more Alan Parsons Project...
Awww thank you! I will
Even with youtube compression, this made my living room rock! The bass on the hydra synth is so solid!
This is great! Would love to see "the Gold Bug" deconstructed
Great version!! The Hydrasynth is a cool sounding synth! As a big fan of Alan Parsons' Project in its many incarnations, I really enjoyed this one! I've seen Alan Parsons live at least a half dozen times now, and it's always a great show! Thank you for this in depth look at the song!
This is pure joy, i should come more often. It's all great, but my favourite part remains the unboxing of the Hydra.
Hyper thanks.
The sound is amazing!
Such a pure depth of sound.
It’s ear candy.
Thanks for this Dr Mix! ❤
Loved this song back in 1981. Now I can see the breakdown of the parts and will try this one myself. Thanks for the inspiration Dr. Mix!
Loving it!!, Great recreation ❤️👍
Oh how I wish I could play around with all those synths you have!
Synth is great..Sounds are amazing..Tune is so impressive...Deconstruction is splendid..Thank you Dr.Mix..💛💚
awesome video! my math teacher used to blast this in math class and it's an absolutely fantastic tune.
Dr Mix is a bloody legend. Brilliant!
I can't believe what you did man! It is one of the tracks of my childhood and I still love it! Thanks!
The fact that you can reconstruct this wonderful piece of musical history bit by bit, is great, but it has to give you pause when considering the pure genius of it's creator doesn't it?
Alan will be remembered in the future with the same reverence as the likes of Beethoven & Tchaikovsky.
Pure 80's Mistery & Elegance
I like it. Mistery & Elegance
Mystery and Imagination! 😉well it was before, but proud elegance it were for sure. Thanks also to Eric Woolfson RIP
Capolavorone!
Pure '80s magic.
Крутейше получилось!!!!! Я давний фанат творчества А.Парсонса - еще с 90-х годов его слушаю, и хочу сказать, что очень достойный трек получился! Браво, Dr.Mix!!!! Спасибо)))
Nice. Just bloody nice. Killer bass. And the Hydra has an amazing sound. Eye in the sky rules.
The hydrasynth is truly amazing. I got a Deluxe a few months ago and love everything about it. Special shoutout to the superb poly aftertouch and the ribbon controller - it’s like playing a modern day CS-80
I bought the Hydrasynth Deluxe last year and love it. It compliments my Sequential Prophet X and Roland Fantom quite nicely.. and thanks for the wonderful display of its capabilities, you did a beautiful cover of alan parsons today!
So cool Doctor! I just got my first synthesizer and its the ASH Hydrasynth Explorer. I'm stoked to learn it even more thanks to you!
We'd love to hear "I Robot" from Alan Parsons Project as well! There are so many cool things in it, including the bell tremolo or whatever it is.
"I Robot" would be a nice challenge, a perfect progression in an instrumental experience, on that same album they were several interesting approaches, the one called "Genesis..." at the end is worth to Remix also (not relation to the British band, even if they would be also an endless source of inspiration )
This synth has been the only synth that I even considered in the last 20 years. I mix and write in box. but after playing one of these I been so temped to pick one up. something about the poly after touch being done sell well on this unit along with its amazing sounding synthesis and layout makes it the only hardware synth I may buy in the near future.
I love your energy in this video ! That's the kind of content we come to RUclips, love your work !
Thanks , I forgot how much I love their music !
Love the Doctor! Such a positive vibe every day.
Your vids are always so optimistic 🤘😎🤘 love it !
Guys, you're do everything so well...👍
Coolest synths, greatest sound 😁
You got the deluxe! I want that keyboard so badly. Actually, it was your unboxing and testing of that first Hydrasynth that (quickly) convinced me to buy one. 😄
What you are doing ...it's really incredible!!!!! Every time I watch your videos....time freezes!!! Old hits!!! THOSE ARE THE sounds!!!! Could you recreate the composition of the band Space Magic Fly
Dr. Mix, this was just soooo cool!!! Thank you so much for doing and uploading this great instrumental theme by my all time favourite band "The Alan Parsons Project". In fact I'm lucky enough to have that album signed by Alan and the rest of the band he toured with during the 90's. Such a great treat indeed!!!!!
So cool you picked up this track !! , I'm a massive APP fan ! , good work especially the addition of the "real" bass line 🎸 , thnx Dr Mix !
It was actually my singing teacher that introduced me to Alan Parsons. I became a HUGE fan of their work! I grew up listening to Kraftwerk and Emerson Lake Palmer so I absolutely LOVE FM sounds. Awesome video!!!!
Goose bumps. So good. ❤
Amazing !
Very great sounds.
Hi Doctor Mix ♪♫ ... it's really awesome that this number from the 1982 Eye in the Sky album still sounds so fresh and sparkling.
I can understand you having fun deconstructing this.
I also have fun listening to a lot again after 40 years and more.
A kind of renaissance. This also applies to your video about Jean-Michel Jarre's works.
You have a talent and you can recreate anything that isn't nailed down. I would be interested to know if you also publish your own compositions. I'm regularly on your channel.
Keep it up... a bientôt
only you can take such a masterpiece and make it even better!!
Love it! Thanks señor Claudio! un abrazo!
Cool Love that Tune. The Remake sounds fantastic. I would love if you do again a jazz related Theme Video as a idea. Thank you claudio.
I-Robot... Turn of a Friendly Card... Eye in the Sky.
So much musically gold from APP!!
Way to go Claudio! Love APP. More please!!!
Great song! Heard it this morning on my way into work. You do great job with this channel.
Om 🎶🎹🎶 grande maestro 🎹👍
Omg one of my favorite song of Alan, and you made it , that's so cool thank you !
And that little hello to Ed Zuccolo is so nice too !
The sound and the mix are really nice.
BRAVO Claudio, I love seeing you compose a musical work step by step. Thanks for sharing with us. VIVA la MUSIKA 🙂
Espectacular como siempre 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I got the original Hydrasynth after watching your your first video about it. Didn't hesitate, got the oder to Sweetwater right away. It's the best Dr. Mix triggered purchase ever. Thank you Claudio
Thank you for presenting this very underrated TAPP song! Really well done as always!
What an awesome mix!
Bloody amazing nicely done!
This is just so lovely. 😍😍
I loved this so much 🙏
I love it! Very well done, Doctor! One of my favorite songs from Eye in the Sky (actually, the whole album is good). Thanks to your video, I may consider buying one of these synths. Your excitement in every video is contagious, so keep it up!
Oh. That was nice. Love to see you vibing!
Hail Hydrasynth!
I am speechless, just writing a comment for the algorithm, more or less.
Well done!
Best commentary about my favourite artist
And learning so much about him ... THANK YOU
I love my Hydrasynth Deluxe! It’s such a beautiful synth!
Loved every second of that video
omg I've been waiting for some alan parsons for a while now. Thank youuu!!!!!!!!!
Oh man! I've got to go dig thru my old CDs and find that now.
Wow ! this sounds Amazing - one hell of a classic. Well done !!! ....
The Hydrasynth has that ability to just go "unruly" with its sounds when you need it, while so many other synths seem to have governors built in to obey speed limits. Ex: the bladerunner patch. Lean into the aftertouch, and the sound just goes nuts, and sounds so great! (just like the opening title theme) I won't mention my suspicion that the Hydrasynth could end up being a CS-80 killer.
Yeah! Unruly is a great definition for it 💥
Great job Claudio
Cool, keep em coming
You made me grab eye in the sky from the shelf, awesome remake!
Dr. (Claudio) Mix - you are my hero and I am a HUGE fan of what you do and your creativity. Thank you for creating this amazing RUclips channel and sharing your incredibly inspirational talents. Cheers to you 🥂
Awesome!
Now, do you think you could do the same with "the gold bug"? The bass in that song is amazing, and even more amazing would be to hear your interpretation
Very excited when I saw the title, this is gonna be good. Great choice!
Wowwww after all these years it's still a fabulous song. Great job recreating it but you left out the best part (choir andstrings)
Fantastic tune 👍 Its about time you deconstructed this one.
Awesome 😎 ❤️🎼🎶🎹
They Hydrasynth is definitely one of the most performance-friendly, highly modulatable, synths. That’s for sure.
I just wish they opened up the wavetables so I can put my own in
Fantastic. The song and the performance too.
Just great! From Liverpool!
I first watch the SHORT of this video.
Then i look for the Mamagama song. I mean: the original version.
Now i am watching this vid and must say your version of Mamagama gives the spicy thing that elevates the song to a new level. I would not had pay a lot of attention to the song if it was'nt i hear first your RUclips's SHORT.
👍👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿
Super !!!👏
Yes!!! I love my Hydrasynth desktop. I would love to have deluxe but I already have a lot of keyboards but the poyphonic aftertouch is awesome.
got my deluxe today.. I am so impressed 😍
Great work Mr C. Just a thought. Must be hell at the moment with cost of electricity. Thank you for the music. 🎶🎹👍👍👍
I love it !!! Thanks
WOW! Listening to this reminds me SO much of Porcupine Tree's wonderful "Voyage 34" ... so much so I can't help but wonder if there was some inspiration! Nice work Claudio!
Yeeesss of course, the same and Pink Floyd too, another brick in the wall, they were their sound engineers.
Fantastic! Would love to hear a follow up with a reconstruction of Sirius 😀
Great suggestion!
I love this! 😍👍
