    In this video, I'll be trying Microneedling (micro-needling) AKA derma rolling for balding. I want to try microneedling for balding and bald spots. I'll also be testing some microneedling receding hairline techniques, to see does microneedling work.

    Derma rolling takes 4-6 months to show results. It has helped keep my hair nice and thick as thick hairs don't fall out as easily. Couple of things to keep in mind:
    1. A derma roller with 1mm needles is enough for your scalp. 0.5mm might not be enough in some cases.
    2. Clean the roller before and after use with hot water and alcohol solution.
    3. Roll it firmly on your scalp till it hurts. It's okay if you bleed.
    4. Roll in only one direction and not back and forth as you don't want to damage the roots of the hair follicles. Roll in the same place 3 times in one direction and then change the direction slightly and roll again in the same place 3 times.
    5. Dispose of the derma roller after 7-8 uses and get a new one. If you see that any of the needles are bent, throw them away as it will cause injuries.
    6. Try to get one that has a good rating on Amazon.
    7. Don't use a derma roller more than once every 15 days or once a month, as you need to give your scalp time to recover before rolling again.
    Follow these instructions and you and prevent balding along with good diet and excercise.

      well the 1mm derma roller you are supposed to use it once a week lol

  • @simianrogue
    @simianrogue 4 года назад +194

    Well, for starters, use boiling water to sterilize it BEFORE you use it. When using the roller, just roll in one direction, not back and forth. And when rolling, you go from front-to-back, from one side to the other, and diagonally. The pressure you should use is similar to when using/applying roll on deodorant. After use, let the roller soak for 60 seconds in rubbing alcohol.
    These rollers will give you SLOW results - so you are looking at months, NOT days or weeks. Patience is required. Roll in straight lines, do not use as if going round corners. Last thing you want are needles breaking off in your skin.
    On a personal note - after use my scalp feels like it has a slight case of sun burn, that tingling/stinging sensation. This is good and normal.

      A real derma roller has individual microneedles. Usually titanium. The cheap knock offs have multiple stacked spiked disks which create more damage to the surface of the skin & increase the potential for infection/complications.

    • @storm5013
      @storm5013 3 года назад

      They're thin titanium shafts that are sharpened to a point, basically the definition of a needle. Also when they enter your skin, they do so at an angle, however the skin is very elastic and will basically deform as the needle is rolled through it rather than being cut in a V shape. They don't do as much damage as some believe due to the elasticity of the skin.

    If you decide to make a video about microneedling the least you could do is to look into how to use it properly. The area has to be disinfected and the tool has to be immersed into disinfectant solution before and after use. Also you have to start we smaller sized needle. The large sized needle to be done in the salon as you can give yourself infection. Did you even wash your hands.

    • @beyakhad

    You are doing this completely wrong.. First of all, you are not microneedling your scalp.. you are carressing it.. there is a reason you can order different kinds of dermarollers.. some are 0.25mm in size, some are 1mm in size, some are 1,5mm in size and so forth.. The size describes how long the needles are.. If you use a 1.5mm needle for microneedling, its supposed to go all the way in, from the tip to the bottom of the needle.. You have to apply pressure to that damn thing, so the needles get pressed into the skin while you roll.. THATS why some people start bleeding when they use the bigger needle sizes.. So please stop micro tickling, and start micro needling.. ty.

      I got one it looks very nice but basic and i dont use the features very often. Its quite durable and has an okay price for the specs. When I use the chronograph the ticking is a bit off. It doesnt have a seconds hand, but that doesnt matter to me. Lume sucks but its not a diver so whatever. Overall its a nice daily watch.

    GUYS this dermaroller will actually do more harm then good.. the spikes are actually discs with spikes.. you will need a dermaroller that has separate spikes and not a disc with spikes. This really hurt my skin, its recovered by now and I have been using the right dermaroller and the results really are different.

    please do more research the one you linked in the description/using in the video is pure garbage.
    1. this dermaroller doesn't have REAL needles. essentially what these are knifes to your face/scalp. to be able to do micro needling correctly you need REAL surgical needles.
    2. even with a good dermaroller (i recommend the ones gin amber sells) with real needles dermarollers cause micro tearing on your skin which in the long run causes damage to your skin for a short term gain.
    microneedling does work! but if you're serious about it the BEST tool you can get yourself is the derminator 2 from own doc. it is a bit expensive but it is 100% worth it. you will get no micro tearing. on own docs website you will also find extremely valuable info on what to do before and after microneedling. look up dermaneedling instructions. you can also look up derminator 2 instruction if you end up getting the derminator 2.

    That roller isn’t very good. titanium medical grade needles are Better than stainless steel. minimum of 560 needles works best or higher. You don’t want gaps between the needles they should be close together. I find a 1mm roller works better than the 1.5 mm roller. It causes less inflamation and lower risk of damage to the hair follicles. if you have longer hair the 1.5 roller will hair tangled in it and stops spinning. for best results wet your hair and put a tiny bit of coconut oil in your hair. continue to spray your hair with water to keep it very wet while rolling. use a comb to section the hair and roll the entire scalp horizontally and diagonally 4 to 6 times in each direction with light pressure. avoid putting minoxidil in your hair for 24 hours after rolling. for best results derma roll once a week for 3 months. after that every 6 weeks to maintain. for optimal results using the roller with minoxidil will give you better results. you can also take proscar for even better results also. replace roller heads every 6 to 8 uses and disinfect roller heads in alcohol after use.
