- Hey guys,
I’m back (again) with a matriculation video. I officially started at the University of Oxford, this October, to study Economics and Management. I recorded the day I got matriculated, so I could look back on the day in however many years, and remember what it was like. I really enjoyed this day (shortly before the essays kicked in) and I hope that, through my video, you do too.

Great video and congrats for your Oxford offer!! I was wondering how much of the course is essay-based and how much of it is quantitative? And for the mathematical side of it, is the Maths harder than A level Maths?
Thank you!! The course is very much an equal split to be honest - roughly 1.5 essays a week and 2 problem sheets (quantitative) per week! The maths isn't harder than A-level maths, it's just very applied - either in a finance context, or economics context, but it's not harder. The stats on the econ side is very different tho - not harder, just different, so new things to learn, but pretty shallow in depth. Hope that helps!
