Hi Doctor Williams and Doctor Organ! Thanks for the amazing tour. Makes me wish my current circumstances were different. At my high school in Canada, I'd never even heard about Oxford and how amazing it is until it was too late.

You could apply for a postgraduate degree. That's what I did!

Hi Matt. Would you be able to make a video on the differences between Oxford colleges and how to choose which one to apply for? Also whether an open application effects our application as well. Thank you very much.

Yes, that's a great idea for a video. Will try and do something soon, but a little bit stretched at the moment. Many thanks for the suggestion!

@@JesusCollegeOxford1571 Hello. May I add that many Oxford colleges have, over recent years uploaded, to RUclips, informative short videos, aimed at prospective students, and providing essential background to accommodation, student support services, interaction with faculty, funding for material relating to a study course, meals and so on. Very useful for anyone contemplating applying to University Oxford - and any particular college specifically - if it helps :)

This video was absolutely awesome. I am actually applying to economics and management this year as an international student. But I am kind of confused about the reference letter. Is it okay to get my reference letter from my English teacher rather than from my economics teacher. Or will it adversely affect my application?

    • @JesusCollegeOxford1571

You can actually include mini references from multiple teachers, if you wish. It is useful in the reference to understand your academic potential, and, as such, an economics tutor may be better placed. But, it is also useful to know of any contextual information that may have affected your school performance, such as relative disadvantage. Any teacher can speak to this. Ultimately, you’re not going to be disadvantaged by something that is out of your control, such as whether a tutor can provide a reference. Presumably your English teacher can still describe your academic potential, and could even ask your economics teacher for some specifics.
