You call it lazy, but this is just letting others have a try at saving Mobius. Notice how it's not the same replacement every time. I approve of this idea, so long as sonic does his part every so often.

Yeah, Tails is all like "do you have any idea what you've done," but he never really shows any actual harm being done and he didn't even think to warn him ahead of time. Plus, considering that it's more or less been Sonic's "work" to save everyone else for the last 30 years when they can evidently save themselves just fine, I say he's owed a little time off at the very least. One fight each doesn't even come close to them breaking even with him, but Tails acts like it's so unreasonable. I think everyone else has been lazy and they've been running Sonic into the ground.

The overall tone of this video, as well as the use of a couple of specific sprites, just made me hear all the dialogue in the Sonic for Hire voices.
If this was a Sonic for Hire episode I could already imagine the script

I read this in the "Sonic For Hire" Voices. Doesn't help that we had Eggman in his undies, lazy Sonic on a couch, and Tails being a super rich douche that misses the point.

Either 2 things, when the character finish the entire campaign of the game and get board, or this is the character perspective when a player cheat/hack the game making it easy and get board after a few level.
Edit. Imagine that for a bit the perspective of game characters when players cheat/hack in the game and their reaction to it all.

Blame Sega for listening to "sOniCs lAmE fRiEnds" hate bandwagon post-06 (It's been over 15yrs yet some folks still can't get over it), now they're mostly useless cheerleaders and/or exposition NPCs in the mainline games (outside the classics).
The fact in the 2010s we only got three mainline games with multiple playable characters and two of games had "modern" Sonic and "classic" Sonic speaks for itself :/.
