Kyo: It sounds brilliant! I must have heard it over 50 times 😎 Have you madre a tutorial how to play this, or would you consider making one? Much love and respect! 🙏🏼😎
Fantastic! Personally I'm more of a Fender type player. But I must say that I am very excited for these basses since they where announced a few months ago. I would love to get my hands on the 5 string version of this bass. And, ibanez, maybe you can give us bass players more choices of colors for these basses and maybe chrome hardware and knobs? 😉
I like this, but I'm pissed I was on a waiting list for SRC6 and now been told not available. Now I have to have one custom built 😤. So instead of 2 Ibanez SRC6 and ehb1000s, I can't buy either as I'm going to spend $$ on a custom SRC6 type build
@@Stephen_Lafferty You just have to adjust your technique a bit and the lower tension becomes a blessing. Nothing wrong with a short scale B. Less harmonic overtones makes for a fatter low end.
I wish they would’ve done 32” and not 30” for these. The 32” ones they have are the cheaply made ones, sadly. I thought about getting one and upgrading it but the necks are very bad, they’re very light maple. These on the other hand look like they are much more solid.
Same. Probably going to go with the multi-scale 5 for that reason. Not a big 5 string fan though, so I'll probably convert it to EADGC. I loved having a high C on my 6 string back in the day. Never did enjoy the low B string though, it never sounded right. Drop D is usually plenty for me.
I have 2 of the 32 scale Mezzo basses. I have a 4 string and a 5. The necks are excellent. They sit happily next to my far more expensive EBMM / Stingray / Fender / Status basses. The 5 string has become my main bass. The only weak point is the preamp but the pickups are good enough to rip it out and go passive.
@@MadMagicPaul I was not really impressed by the 4 when I checked it out in person. It felt very cheap, and the maple wood was not even quarter sawn. The fret edges were also sharp, and the frets were not level either 😰 - some of that can be fixed of course.
@@5urg3x 99% of all necks aren't quarter sawn. That's not an issue. As for the rest - you may have just had a bad one. The bass forums in UK and USA have many people very happy with them. My stingray 5 needed some fret end work when I got it.
@@MadMagicPaul I got a 4 string mezzo and I love it! I don’t play it through my amp much because I’m in an apartment, so I can’t say much about the electronics. The pickups had sharp corners though, so I had to file the edges to smooth them out. Other than that it’s great! Nice and light and fast! Does you 5 string neck dive?
Ibanez, you made an amazing job creating this bass and you ruined everything by the choice of its colors. I know many bass players who dropped the idea to switch to the 1000s just because of the childish not attractive color. What a pity :(
This is also available in sea foam, which I think is very gorgeous. They had the same color for the 5 string long scale version last year. Quite a looker.
@@salvodazes I know, I was referring to both color variants... unfortunately they are both originally intended for children or women. also the sea foam is a bit childish and not very attractive, the other musicians in my band (all people >35 years old) would kill me if I showed up with one of those on a gig :D
Thanks❤️❤️❤️
阿娇牛逼!
Love your playing and this bass is 😍

Awesome playing, beautiful technique. 👍🎸🏆

I honestly didn't know there were short scale versions of these. Now I'm thinking about an EHB1005SMS for a travel bass.
She's amazing!
She is working that bass!
You think?
That is epic Ibanez! I will have to have one of those.
Nice to see more ergonomically sound basses on your roster
This is incredibly exciting! Would love to try the 5 string version with labellas on it...

Nice Video Kyo.....well done....
So cool. Nice job!
Just pulled the trigger on this same model.
Please demo finger style.

Good demo....but pleas try finger style. Slapping is ok sometimes but for demos more variety.
Now this is a monster please tell me it comes in a 5 string or even 6 ,
6 string headless short scale bass , Yes yes yes yes
What tuning would you use?
It's very hard to keep the 5th and 6th strings at tension on a short-scale bass guitar.

Bridge spacing?
Looks amazing! 5 String tuned BEADG please! :)
There's a 5 string short multiscale version
Love Bites new bass player?
So sick !!
Nice Chuckies :D
no black option?
increíble!
Sweet.
❤🎉
is that the Italian hand gesture at the end?
❤️, it means.
@@polarisk282 I learn something new every day :)
It would have been nice to hear some nonslap playing in there. Ibanez, why do your demos have to be so slap focused?
😀😍
So, same feature set as the 2020 models, but just short scale?
And will these also not be purchasable? I've been on the list for an EHB1506MS from last year's NAMM since June - still might be months away. 😔
🤘💀👍🇬🇧
Only 2 colors available, pink and green? One great bass, I love headless, but those colors are not of my interest.

Why don't slappers just take up bongos?
