Just so people know, do NOT lubricate your keyboard with vasaline. It can degrade plastic, it's a big thing people recomend against in the speed cubing community.
Also the toothpaste is probably scratchy because it contains micro-abrasives
Still, the cubing with vaseline melts away the plastic and makes the cube turn relatively faster yk
@@randompokeplayz4816 Yes, and that's what's needed for stiff rubiks cubes. The degrading of the cubes plastic is what is *needed* in this case. This is not the case for switches, where it might cause rattling or other issues instead of acting as a lubricant.
Let's just use cube lube for our switches😎

Its mostly fine tho, the Vaseline is probably the only bad thing, it eats away at the switches.
@@TalalTheScienceGuy I'm not sure about the longevity of CeraVe and definitely don't recommend using toilet paper as sound dampener if it can be a fire hazard

So I recently modded my GK96S to be brown-themed (one of my favorite colors) with Tai Hao's vintage camel keycaps and spray painted the case a glossy chestnut brown, and it looks like a coffee chocolate bar. Even though yours is bathroom themed, it still looks (and sounds!) really good, and I am definitely a fan of it. Well... I am also a fan of potty humor lol. I'd like to see a followup review of this toilet board maybe in a few weeks/months to see how well the "lube" actually lasts or if it just dries up.
As a person who has used vaseline in plastic rubiks cubes as a lubricant, 10/10 wont recommend...... The plastic will be eaten overtime by vaseline.
I've known for years that the best place to keep my spray paint is in the toilet tank.

I love it tips for painting which I'm admittedly bad at 2: don't hold down the nozzle, move the can fast, only press the button while the can is moving release before you change directions helps prevent runs :p

Spray paint tip: Start spraying off the object and then slowly come in, so it doesn't pool up. One run across and do the same thing for thin light coats.

Quick question for everyone. I am new to mechanical switches and I actually really like the feeling of membrane switches. Minus the mushy and low life-span part. I am looking for the heavy "tactility" at the top of the key stroke (if you want to call it that) of a membrane keyboard. I am not very interested in the topre switch as I am not looking to replace the domes after a while and I am set on getting a hot swappable keyboard. With that being said, I have set my sights on these two switches. Can anyone tell me which one they think might be better for me? Cost is not an issue. Thanks!
IDK if this is still helpful to you but look at Zilent switches. They have a pretty large tactile bump, especially unlubed.
