  • In todays video we had a pretty special day, we headed out for bluefin and Dungeness crab. Theres not many places in the world where you can do this! Thanks for watching.
    Check out Outdoor Proshop in Cotati, CA. They can spool up braided line or hollow core, they can tie connection knots and do hollow core splices. They spooled our reels we used in this video. They have everything you need there! They also sell pre rigged conical crab nets, and have all the crab gear you need.

      It’s pretty awesome to have both of these on our coast right now. You throw in the option that’s there’s lingcod open in the deep water too. It’s really tough to beat what we have right now. Thanks for watching!

    Yeah, there is something about those black OPS pots that the crabs don't like. I have three promar and three OPS and i'm consistently getting better numbers from my promars. I wonder if the cone is too steep for the crabs??? Great video as always!

    • @DDFishingCo
      @DDFishingCo  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks Jon, awesome to hear you liked the video! I’m not sure about the difference between the two, we don’t have the promars for comparison. We caught limits yesterday with Outdoor pro shop hoop nets and had a much better outing this time.

    How long did you let the crab pots soak before pulling them up? Awesome Blue Fin Catches. You two are MAD MAC masters.

    • @DDFishingCo
      @DDFishingCo  10 месяцев назад

      They all soaked for about 30-45 minutes on each drop, there was a outgoing big tide and perhaps it was why they weren’t loaded down. We are going to get redemption forsure haha. Thanks for watching, we try to be masters! Haha

    Great video guys, was just camping over in Ocean cove and some guy brought in a 179lb tuna. Now I want to go catch one any recommendations on a good character for tuna?

    • @DDFishingCo
      @DDFishingCo  10 месяцев назад +1

      That’s wild I saw that! I would give north bay fish charters a call if you are near the bodega area. If you are more towards the city there are some good charters out there too.

    How do you guys attach the madmac to your mono? Swivel, crimp, knot? If a knot, which knot?
    Love the channel

    • @DDFishingCo
      @DDFishingCo  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks!! We tie an FG knot as our connection knot from braid to leader and then San Diego jam for the madmac, crimps works too!

    • @DDFishingCo
      @DDFishingCo  10 месяцев назад +1

      So it’s actually a bracket we had made that we mounted a flush mount rod holder too. I’ll take some pics and I’ll dm it to you. It sounds great. The clamp on rod holders always ended up rotating on us

    That outdoor pro knot came undone

    • @DDFishingCo
      @DDFishingCo  11 месяцев назад +1

      The knot that came undone was an old one we tied back in September and that has probably caught 12 fish. The outdoor one would be the gold reel that caught the first fish. I should have clarified that in the video.
